In my opinion a better solution would be an augmented reality setup rather than full on VR. You would mark a physical boundary around your desk/keyboard/pit that the AR goggles can latch onto to produce effectively a polygon that acts as a cookie cutter on the rendered image. Anything within that polygon comes directly from the real world, anything outside that area comes from the game. Microsoft Holo lens is the kind of thing I’m thinking of but is probably a couple of years away before we’d get something useable.

RE: DTE Isues
If you had watched the video you would know that isn’t a possibility as he showed a DTC load and switch over to steerpoints to demonstrate that the precision points he programmed in weren’t there.
Yes, I did watch the video thanks. My point is does he get same behaviour from a cold & dark start then from a hot start (even if he is re-loading in the DTC from a hot pit).

RE: DTE Isues
Do you ramp start or jump into the taxi/runway? Do you have g_bNoDTCForRampStart set to 1 to force you to load the DTC during your ramp start?

Random cockpit switches sometimes freeze and won't move with a mouse click
Had this a couple of times - using the mouse to click on a switch I sometimes find the toggle or button doesn’t move (I can hear the switch click but it doesn’t move). I’ve had this with the DIGITAL BACKUP switch during ramp start and the ALT/ATT HOLD ap switch during a flight. Again, I hear the click but the graphic doesn’t change (and neither does the action change). If I drop out of the cockpit and go back in again the switches work.
I also had the throttle freeze on me as well during taxi whilst on the ground. Moving my physical throttle to each extreme didn’t move the cockpit equivalent (engine rpm didn’t change so it would appear the sim wasn’t picking up the physical throttle axis). After a minute or so of trying the throttle just came back and was synchronised with my physical one. Very strange.
Can’t think of any other info that would be of use. In hindsight I should have tried the key press equivalent to see if that would toggle the switches.

Also, check out your BMS documentation folder ‘\docs\Operational Manuals’ - You have all the NATO brevity codes listed in there as well as a ton of other useful stuff!

RE: 4.33 Issues (Known or not)
Hey guys,
…
I am using an X52 with the cursor slew mapped to the mini stick via key presses (in bands) on the X/Y axis of the mouse stick. Again, this works fine in 4.32.
…
However, in 4.33 the left cursor slew (left only) simply moves the cursor slew left continually.-Sharpe
When you edited your bands, did you use an ‘Advanced Command’ button press? If so, are you using modifiers with your keys? I mentioned on another thread that I think you have to get the key sequence correct or you end up with a stuck key press (there’s a mention of this in the key file manuals). For example, if you were using ALT+LEFT for radar cursor slew, the sequence in the advanced command window should be ALT LEFT ALT LEFT - if it looks like ALT LEFT LEFT ALT then I think that causes an issue.

RE: Cursors running Amok
I had the same thing and just reassigned the cursor to single UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT. However, I believe it is possible to use a key with a modifier like ALT/SHIFT etc… Not at my computer but I think if you go into STT and add an ‘Advanced Button’ command for each band. You have to make sure the sequence of the key presses is correct. By default if you create a key sequence in STT like ALT+LEFT it comes up like this (the first two are the ‘key-down’ events, the last two are the ‘key-up’ events).
ALT LEFT LEFT ALT
I think you have to change it to something like
ALT LEFT ALT LEFT
This forces the key sequence. I’ll check it again when I get back to the computer but I’m pretty certain this is what’s causing your problem.

RE: BMS Key File Editor - Importing Key File with "Keystrokes Editor" Import button
Have you tried the manual method using the ‘Import’ sheet? Instead of selecting the ‘Import Key File’ button on the ‘Keystrokes Editor’ sheet, go to the ‘Import’ sheet and copy/paste the contents of your key file into column A.

Just speechless! Everything from the demo video, the manual, the updates… just speechless.

RE: New NVIDIA drivers
I recently built a new rig for my sim/gaming and took BMS for flight last night (smooth as silk as expected etc…). However, that was until about 10 minutes into a mission when all of a sudden I started getting the dreaded micro-stutters. They were random and only came in short bursts, very disconcerting. First time I’ve ever experienced them (in any sim). I don’t have the NVidia driver version with me but it was from about 2 weeks ago so I’m hoping the latest update helps (assuming it’s driver related).
