      @Mav-jp said in AAR Bug?:

Any other options than realistic are not supported anymore , meaning there are bugs in those modes and those bugs will not be fixed as those options are abandoned

Too bad. Not having any issues with realistic as such though - just the “time-saving” effect is well-received if you want to fly after work and every minute of your evening shared between the simulator/ wife/ kids counts like hell.

I do mean it more serious than you can imagine.

    • RE: 4.37.3 AIM120 AQUISITION MODEL

In addition, it is not entirely clear whether the R_MPRF is a hard setting upon which the AMRAAM will in any case switch over to MPRF (whether or not HPRF was active) or are there other conditions to be met and thus the R_MPRF is somewhat a latest or earliest point.

      Background of my addition:

      1. It is documented that the FCR does not know whether the AMRAAM is indeed already Pitbull/ Husky (no backwards DL). If however, the R_MPRF is a hard setting, then the FCR can be considered reasonably “good” in estimating the Pitbull point (due to having the same model available).

      2. Does the RCS setting truly affect the R_MRPF and thus the timing of the transition to Pitbull of the selected missile?

      Thanks

      Thanks BuzyBee,

      I checked the beta and all missile issues were fixed. So, I checked the R13M, R3R, R55, R27R, R27RE, R27TE, R23R, R77…

Thanks for your service to this community,

      Hi BuzzyBee

yes, there seems to be a mismatch with the AA-7 (R-23) and the R-3. The launched R-23R is indicated as R-3R.

TacView 1.8.6 in Korea 4.35.1 Vanilla

Can you have a look? If needed I can send you the vhs file via PM. Let me know!

    • RE: 4.34 - IDM principles of operation

      @LorikEolmin:

Only one DL on one frequency, like UHF 298.750.
Package leader can host CONT for Flight Leads and his own flight in UHF.
Elements leaders can host CONT on VHF for their flight.
Flight leads can switch from U and V and listen.

I imagined that but I prefer Gasman’s method: DMD only from anyone, flight leads having own flight and other leads, and wingmen only own flight. Anyway it will always be more complicated than. 33 if you want to rely on DL as much as you used to.

So reading this it is confirmed which did not naturally jumped into my eyes.

We did also extensive testing on our typical COMAO Setup

5 flights in one package with 2-4 planes per flight; 11 is the round owner; everyone has all leads on IDM#5-#8 and only ownship in #1-#4. If now IDM is started via UHF all leads are visible to each other, within the first flight everyone is visible to each other, BUT in all other flights only the wingmen can see their leads but not vice-versa. Reading all info I got is that the wingmen actually sort of “hack in” to the signal and can visualize the signals as they are on the same UHF frequency and share a common/ compatible IDM Setup. Unfortunately, the leads do not see their wingmen.

So what is the consolidated answer? UHF/ VHF with nb 1/3? What if there is no nb3? Forget about DL at all? Fall back on VHF only AA DL and from time to time DMD on UHF?

Could someone confirm the behaviour stated above as correct?

      Thanks,

    • RE: Feedback Dash-1 BMS 4.33

      Hi RedDog,

short question (aka feedback 😉 ) …. the picture of the HSD on p. 78 with all CNTL options (lowest image) seems to resemble the one in 4.32 (or an block not yet tested by me in 4.33). Anyway, at least in CM blocks, I noticed at OSB4 the indication HPN which is clickable (on/off). What is this for?

Another one: For A/A SMS page on AIM-120: Is the BIT / ALBIT implemented? Does not seem to do anything and is not reported in the -1 (so I guess no). Also, this page is now available for off-borsight IR missiles (9X or equivalent).

A last one: The HUD indication shows while in any A/A mode the type of missile selected, i.e. MRM or SRM. Since 4.33, it shows HOB instead of SRM for the 9X or equivalent. I might only speculate that this means H… off boresight?!?

      Thanks for your feedback!

    • RE: BMS F18 A and C upgrade - community involvement

DeeJay - you say it’s not implemented - of course, that’s true.

Again, I am not a programmer, but here a basic idea:

Couldn’t it be “simulated” purely graphical-wise by changing the boom to a basket? Of course, the a/c model would have to be modeled that way to have all the prerequisites to capture that basket.

I know, I know a boom is more or less static, but not completely. It can move up/down/left/right. This could be enough for initial basket movement.

I hope I did express myself somewhat clearly. Anyway, now waiting for guys telling me that this is not possible because … and because… 😉

Maybe however, there is a slight chance that my idea could be realized…justthinkin’

      Cheers,
      Stingray
