RE: Tacview – Understand what happened during your last flight! (alternative ACMI viewer)
@BuzyBee in reading the FMAP , you could take into account it

RE: Tacview – Understand what happened during your last flight! (alternative ACMI viewer)
I noticed something strange, the altitude is not the same as in game
I can measure a gap of 140ft … QNH is not taken into account, right?

season bug?
I tried to change the season selection in the setup menu but impossible to change…
once I apply or I valide, weather controlled is still definedis it normal?

RE: Tacview – Understand what happened during your last flight! (alternative ACMI viewer)
I noticed that we can’t display the turn rate (instantaneous / sustained) table if the format *zip.acmi was defined in BMS! why?!

RE: Speedbrake switch
with speedbrake button, the open (aft) position is springloaded to off (center) and allows the speedbrakes to be incrementally opened. The closed (forward) position has a detent, allowing a single motion to close the speedbrakes.
but how to do with New Launcher & new TQS of Thrustmaster: currently when I release aft position, the speedbrakes are closing instead of staying in the opening released position

RE: Weapon Delivery Planner released
issue : impossible to put manually the elevations for OA1, OA2, VRP, PUP, …
the elevation value are always those defined in POP UP menu

RE: Eurofighter Typhoon Cockpit Overhaul and Enhancement Project
@Scorpion82 the delta-canard wings are not enough forward…

RE: Santa's wishlist for BMS
integrating local GPS jamming protection systems

RE: ICP DRIFT C/O toggle not working
I also bought Sebastian’s ICP and you need to add 4lines in your key file
I followed the instructions mentioned herethis document has been a revelation : the explanations are clear
FYI: the order of lines is important if I remember well

RE: strange AI behavior : AI fighters go to crash in low altitude
I was at about 2500 ft MSL (500ft AGL ) in direction to steerpoint 9 at 20nm with heading 292°
The steerpoint 9 is the manufactory at 6nm south from Sadae-Gol (KTO)
patrol flight is in wedge formation and I ask to go RTB , just after the patrol engages a left turn in direction to hills…they turn …then after they try to avoid the hills but it’s too late

strange AI behavior : AI fighters go to crash in low altitude
I noticed a strange AI behavior when I sent the order "go to home " in low altitude
in this current case, I m on middle on relief and the patrol follows me. After sending the order, the patrol is explodes to take heading to airbase and they hit hills each time…
the issue is reproductible
the TE is available and also ACMI here

RE: 4.37.3 AIM120 AQUISITION MODEL
@Stevie said in 4.37.3 AIM120 AQUISITION MODEL:
Not really an “argument”, more of facing up to the reality of how systems actually work and what their comparative capabilities are. I’ve been working around/with Test Pilots (daily) for nearly 40 years and only have to listen and ask to form my opinions or do my own “research”. Knowing what I know the only logical concussion is differences between platforms.
I’m starting to figure out that I know more former VIper drivers than I may have thought…and every now an then I earn something interesting - like the story of one of “my guys” always getting gigged for “assaulting the limiter” during an exchange he was on…which is pretty much what I started out doing in studying the low-speed handling of the Viper in BMS. Gotta try some of what he found out and see if the flight model will echo the RL airplane - I’ve never been able to make it work, but I’m assured the jet will do what I’d like if I use the right technique.
I’ll stay at 4.35 for a number of reasons…but mostly this model. It’s sort of personal…MMV.
I’ll be frank with you, your speech is boring…you’re not happy so justify it physically or mathematically because the BMS people I know come from prestigious engineering schools…and I wouldn’t understand if they could explain things that aren’t true…otherwise if you don’t agree, I’d say go elsewhere if it’s better…

RE: BMS 4.37.2 HSI pointing to VRP instead of TGT when TGT-TO-VRP enabled
@Mikyjax I’m talking about the logic based on the VRP reference is wrong and this is not make sense too…I can well imagine that it’s not just a question of replacing the name…this is why, HSI points to the reference point defined behind and currently, the reference point is well VRP so the behavior works as “expected”
-
RE: BMS 4.37.2 HSI pointing to VRP instead of TGT when TGT-TO-VRP enabled
@Mikyjax as I wrote, there is an error with the DED menu in BMS.
the reference point shoudn’t be the VRP point but TGT point -
RE: Jammer questions [Can't lock a jamming aircraft until 10 NM]
Given the subject, we might as well keep on dancing…Is there a difference between ALQ-131 & ALQ-184?
A long time ago, I thought I understood what differentiated the 2 pods, apart from drag factor and weight, were the angles of coverage, is it still true? I didn’t see any information in the doc…
