I found that the setup folder had to be on the same drive as you wanted the install. IOW, if you want 4.33 on C:\……, then the setup folder needs to be on C:… . I couldn’t ‘force’ a different drive path either. I don’t think that was the case in 4.32. It may have been something I did. Not sure, but moving the setup folder worked. After install, I deleted that folder on that drive (but kept a copy on another drive).
Interesting as I’m also using Win7 x64 and had no problem using a HDD for the Setup folder and installing on a SSD. Something going on here which isn’t consistent; how very Windows 😉
For 4.32 there was a registry cleaner. I’m 99.9% sure it won’t work on 4.33. I hope that someone makes a new one.
Hopefully we shouldn’t need one as Falcon BMS 4.33 does not appear in the list of the Programs and Features app (like 4.32 did), so we should not get people uninstalling it that way and leaving registry entries behind. It’s made very clear in the BMS Manual that you use Setup.exe both to install and uninstall BMS 4.33 so let’s hope that’s a historic problem.
