You guys need not worry about Stringray. I’ve known him for years, when he starts something, he finishes it. Does it take some time? Yep, cause he does it right.
He built tons of Tomcat skins over the years for FreeFalcon, had them in nice packs, kept them up to date and they were beautiful. He spent years on those.
He’ll spend years on the Tomcat model too if it is required to get it done right.
Plus, he does have a life like the rest of us. Some guys have more time than others to spend modeling or deving.
When Stingray releases his Tomcat model, it will be the talk of the town!! 😉
Thats so true… Thats why my projects are on hold as well… Not enough spare time. I hope with the coming of the new year i will have some more and i will manage to finish some of them at least. Even though some made it allready in Ikaros (why the started anyway) i know some people will love to have them as stand alone so I will do my best! I believe also in Stingray cause he’s done a preety damn good job in it. But anyway back to the topic… i think the exaust nozzles ont Tom’s F-15 are a bit off (no offence tom) other than that is a very good model indeed.
Probably yes. I tiled the airbases, airfields and airstrips according “military airfields. de” web site (at least in the area of interrest). But my old campaing was situated rather south of Berlin…I spent most time there.
I just fast-checked the map in AF(128 version) and it seems I did not place the Tutow objective into tac/cam yet (so its only tiled/flattered in AF rule)
Tom is making tac/cam from scratch, so I guess he will place Tutow soon.
I spent two months this spring living in the ATC-building on the old military airfield in Tutow.
It’s a cool place! I’m looking forward to this theatre!
FCR can be set to display them. I believe for trees they disabled FCR.
About not hit Molni current buildings that can be targeted can exist you just draw an area around.
The thing Is procedural uses rules. So with the correct rule and code each and everyone of those auto gen buildings could be destroyed. Each unique, and only affected by weapons blast radius and model strength setting.
The thing is needs many areas categories.
The other thing is roads and urban environment. Lot’s and blocks of buildings are rectangular and not circle. With circles you declare the areas in Falcon, so u see the problem.
Trees are a very good start.
If python could be used or like other procedural grammar and the Falcon code interact and understand miracles can be done.
I see no bug at all. Dogfight against F-16 with 9P, turn away from him, fly straight and level. He fires, I flare a couple of rounds, 9p misses…. unless AI fires from close enough so that flares are in the “no-effect” range.
Taking a look at the DB 9m/9x “flare chance”, one would need to be quite lucky to dodge them with a flare.
Yes, is no bug. Flares works well, as they have to do. I tested against AIM-9P.
