VKB NXT EVO Space Combat Edition Premium keybindings
Here are my keybindings if you need somewhere to start if you just gotten a VKB stick
Something to know about the hats:
A1: Is a 8 way hat AND if you press the hat a blue light comes on and it’s now a 4 way hat giving the A1 hat 12 functions in all.
A3: 4 way hat with push button.
A4: 4 way hat with push button.
C1: 4 way hat with push button. -
RE: VKB NXT EVO Space Combat Edition Premium keybindings
I too was looking for a single device and this VKB really does it for me.
I was a little bit worried that the different hat functions would be overload in hairy situations and getting use to where the TMS and DMS functions was set. I took some “Instant Action” missions and made several A/G and A/A runs getting more familiar with the buttons and hats. THAT really made it for me.
Also the switch from RDR Cursor hat to TMS Up hat is VERY short thumb movement so that haven’t made any problems so far. -
Bye Logitech hello VKB
So after getting back into the Falcon scene again and now been flying 2-3 times a week my under 12 month old Logitech 3D Extreme turned on me.
From day one the Z-axis sometimes didn’t reset totally and both X and Y axis’ has too much play. But it was fine getting back into flying the Viper. But now the throttle only gives me 90-95% throttle even if I recalibrate it i Windows and having the Z axis very light to activate I needed to look elsewhere.I still wanted a one stick solution with Z axis and throttle so the VKB Gladiator NXT EVO Space Combat Edition Premium is now ordered. SO looking forward to a new flying feel.

RE: VKB NXT EVO Space Combat Edition Premium keybindings
Sry for the long wait
.
The switch to the left from the throttle wheel is a self centrering 3-pos switch.
Switch to the right from the throttle is a continuous rotary switch.

STECS tips and tricks
Hi guys and a happy new year.
Just waiting for my STECS Mini Plus to be delivered and I was wondering if some of you could tell me some tips’n tricks regarding setting this thing up.
I already have the NXT Evo stick so i’m used to VKB in that sense.
It’s mostly the integration of the detents into BMS that fills my mind and experience of setting them up in the software.
Also where you have set your afterburner detent so that you still experience the afterburner stages when flying.Thx in advance

VKB STECS Mini+ keybindings
Here’s my newest VKB purchase and the keybindings i’m running atm.
I cant seem to figure out exactly how the first detent can be configured to work as “Idle detent” so for now I have chosen a dedicated keybinding for that. -
RE: STECS tips and tricks
Thank you SO much Virus for the pictures and illustrations. The issues I find is to understand how to use the “button” function in the detent settings.
I would like that just before it passes the first L-detent it’ll work as “Idle detent” in game. The AB works flawlessly in game.

@airtex2019
Geeeez Airtex2019 you just displayed my TOTAL ignorance to IT. I think I understood the part that I should setup the throttle using some sort a button actuator via the software.
But whenever answers come with code changing I feel 2000 years old ( my problem not yours)But thank you

RE: STECS tips and tricks
Thx man and I actually found that chart of yours the other day. That will be SUPERB for a reference when I have to setup my key bindings.
I think I just have to wait until the throttle arrives within the next couple of days and get into the setup. Mabey i’m over thinking the “decoupling” of the throttle when it passes over a detent and getting the right throttle settings

RE: STECS tips and tricks
Thx a lot.
I’ve watched that YT film some times now and it still confuses me regarding the “buttons/functions” in the VKB software drop down menu.
I “just” need a throttle with an psycical feel for when I hot the idle detent and the AB detent.
If that makes any sense and mabey that is also what you wrote -
