Anyone that has tried the previously mentioned workarounds and are still having trouble, try running BMS in compatibility mode for Windows 7. That’s how I got it to work.

RE: Switchology issues
This sounds like a config file issue. If you don’t already have weapon delivery planner you can set some configuration settings through it, or do it manually through the config ini.file

RE: Step Time
On 09/11/2001 was the first and only time (as of yet) the fast align GPS nav system was used. The two f-16 scrambled in like 5 minutes (unarmed they were told to basically fly into the last remaining hijacked plane) and yes an emergency situation is different.
I say this because as awesome it would be to do simulated walk arounds and all that the 20 minutes that we have (generally) more than suffices in my opinion. That doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t like to go for as real as possible.

RE: Graphic lines
Are you using any type of modded tiles? It looks like maybe something is up with your texture files, but I’m not 100% certain. If you can’t figure it out through hardware maybe do a fresh install if it isn’t too inconvenient.

RE: Locating low level flight targets (FCR)
This can be pretty difficult, you can use the TGP for helo’s though.

RE: 4.33 TGP Zoom Problem
Honestly the best and most cost efficient thing to do is to build your own. And by that I mean you by all the parts and then put it together. As for as the biggest items contributing to a system are motherboard CPU RAM and GPU. You can by bundles on places like Amazon and Newegg.

RE: 4.33 TGP Zoom Problem
If your target can be designated with a target steerpoint in 2D you really don’t need to use the TGP, because GBU 39 is a type of JDAM. Just turn the bombs on, fly to the steerpoint, get within range, pickle and smoke a cigar. But if would be good to get to the bottom of whatever is going on .

RE: Regarding 4.33 download links and related site content changes
I’m really concerned whether the IP holder is going to make us to buy digital copy of Falcon 4.0 even we already have original CD disc.
If yes, I guess we will have to buy it for new installer.
I know it’s cheap, but really not acceptable for me.It actually has a section stating that if you have a license code like on a box, or CD etc, your good to go with the games that they have.

RE: Regarding 4.33 download links and related site content changes
I just read the gog.com user agreement, and based off of the OP and what user agreement says, I get the impression this is just legal red tape because of liscense owners changing. I really do not believe they have an interest in shutting down bms, but just the opposite.

RE: Gpu graphic Settings or bms setup graphic?
I prefer to set graphic settings to override through the control panel. If you do this however turn those settings OFF in the sim UI.

RE: The GBU 39 s
It is the same as using a JSOW or any other JDAM. GBU-39 JSOW, as well as GBU-31 are all types of GPS guided munitions. The easiest way to use them is create a target steerpoint in 2D, have that steerpoint selected, pickle and say good night. You can also use the TGP and change you SOI (I think), but my preference is steerpoint.

RE: Need CTD Crash log interpretation
Thanks for the help guys. So to answer questions, I wasn’t firing a missile but calling up aim-9m. Had a mig 29 locked up but had spent other IR missile so needed to switch. I also have yet to reproduce the problem, but I will look into those other posts and see what I can find.
Thanks again

Need CTD Crash log interpretation
Hey Gents,
Just wondering if someone could interpret this crash log for me, it is attached. Happened right in the middle of a dog fight, don’t know if that is useful information or not, but thought I would share. It was also a TE, multiplayer flight. Thank you in advance. Also if anyone could give me some knowledge as to what is written in this crash log means i would greatly appreciate it.

RE: Weapon Delivery Planner released
After I am finished doing what I need to do in WDP, go into 2d UI and hit load, it is moving my STPT lines. For example, if I have STPT lines in the form of a square, one of them disappears and I now have a triangle. Any idea why this is happening? I apologize if this has been answered in some previous thread but I haven’t been able to find an answer.

RE: A - A Refueling..?
So I have aa suggestion as this is how I finally was able to do it, and first off it just takes doing over and over again. This why real pilots have to practice it so much.
Anyway, my problem was always being to heavy handed. In the USMC, we would say “diddies” to help us remember something ie TAP RACK BANG! So when I am approaching the tanker about 0.5 nm out and have to make ANY type of adjustment I have to say to myself in my head “smooth stick”, and I do it for every single of adjustment no matter how small it may be. Same goes for the throttle, it is all microscopic adjustments. The other thing that helped me when learning was that if I needed to adjust anything throttle or stick, the input needed was 1/2 what I thought I needed, this way I wouldn’t overshoot. Try not to think so much about where the tanker is, but just fly to where you need to be and trust the boom to do its job. Honestly I probably did the TE 100 times before I felt what I would consider efficient.

Tips for flying with pedals
Hey guys,
I just got some saitek combat pedals and was seeking wisdom and guidance on the correct use of rudder input during flight. After messing around a bit it seems that it is best to give small- moderate inputs with back pressure. Is this correct? Any tips and advice are very welcome.
