RE: Question about radar
Interesting, I always understood the antenna elevation was relative to where the nose was pointing. So if you were 10 degrees nose down in a dive with -10 degrees elevation you would be pointing radar down -20 degrees. Which is correct?
Also when you spotlight someone to burn through the jam, I do believe you have to keep the spotlight on to give it time to burn through… that can take a while sometimes and even then doesn’t always work.

RE: Cougar Vipergear Hall Sensor Issues and ANT Pot issue
The sensor and magnet are off of each each by about 2-3mm. Any closer and they would be touching. Good thought though. Thank you.
This is from a post by Redneck
“The range between max and min value need to be at least 100.
Make sure the sensor pressed firmly in the aluminium shaft. The magnet should be as close as possible to the sensor but not touching it.”2-3 mm seems a bit much, mine almost touch.

RE: Cougar Vipergear Hall Sensor Issues and ANT Pot issue
I found that the distance between the sensor and the magnet makes a difference … could be you are not close enough… at least worth a try.

RE: RTT Export HSI
Here it is, I hope. If it does not upload properly it is the MFD extraction showing the ghost like half images of a helmeted pilot. “Blank” is displayed mid screen with four OSB selections on the lower part of the screen.
When I click on the attachment it opens.
I get this message whenever I click on an attachment. “Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator” I get this for all attachments and have notified the administrator in the past but nothing has changed… still doesn’t work.

RE: Wingman
Not sure if this will help or not but I have found a couple of things seem to work with wingmen. First of all you really have to communicate with them… not just tell them to attack. Once we are airborne and formed up I usually tell them to take on a specific formation… i.e. Fluid … then tell them to “Shoot on my command only” … this seems to be especially important especially when they identify an air target and it pops up on the IDM… I immediately tell them AGAIN to shoot on my command only else they take off in pursuit and burn all their gas.
When approaching a ground target I tell them to “Go Trail” … some times also to “Kick out” to give some extra time … then I set up my ground target on TGP and drop ordinance … if it is a single target i.e. a bridge, after I drop both bombs I tell the wing to “attack my target” and as soon as they confirm I tell them AGAIN to attack my target … I have never formally checked this out but I get them to drop both bombs on the target. If different targets I target them and again tell them twice to attack those. If dropping on a runway for example I will target different sections for the wing and element but always tell them to drop multiple times… if they have 4 bombs between them I will make sure I give 4 commands back to back … I have also split the targets… such as target one end of the runway … tell element to attack… target the other part of the runway … give another attack order then go back to the first target and order another drop there and then go back to the second and give a second attack command on that target as well.
This seems to work for me as I have seen both my bombs and my wingman’s hit the same bridge or target (four explosions). I am wondering if it works because I am telling them to attack the target while my bombs are still in the air and so the target has not yet been destroyed … it may be that if you tell them to attack a destroyed target they will still acknowledge the order but not drop because there is no longer a target there (developers??). As I said, I have not confirmed this with tests but it does seem to work. I have found you do have to communicate with them all the time as they are pretty dumb so I am constantly asking them to form up, come closer, weapons hold and say status etc. so they don’t end up flying into the wild blue yonder and running out of gas. I am interested to hear if anyone else has found similar results.

RE: Rotation speed
Not sure where I got this, thought it was in Docs folder but can’t find it there. Hopefully this will work.
