Really well done BMS with v4.37 and VR. The experience in both my Meta Quest2 and Pimax 5k+ was stellar, and I look forward to more time in the VR pit. Hats off to this new opportunity for VR simming now in the excellently robust BMS Falcon world!

RE: SemlerPDX's X52 Pro 'Falconeer' HOTAS Profile for BMS 4.35
@SemlerPDX I tried this and it had no effect. Still same issue.

RE: SemlerPDX's X52 Pro 'Falconeer' HOTAS Profile for BMS 4.35
@WindWeapon Found this added in the 4.36 tech manual:
DX Shift Lock Added: New callback to toggle DX shifting layer lock / unlock states. When invoked it engages the shift lock after which all DX button presses invoke the shifted layer programming for the controller until the lock is cancelled. Pressing SimHotasShift (short press) and SinHotasPinkyShift (long press) can also release a shift lock. This must be activated in the Falcon BMS.cfg using g_bEnableHotasShiftLock (default: 0 = off).
Maybe this is the solution? i have not had change to test it, but hopefully tonight.

RE: SemlerPDX's X52 Pro 'Falconeer' HOTAS Profile for BMS 4.35
@SemlerPDX Sounds good, yea, I tried it again tonight and can confirm/repeatable, that any time I “shift” with pinky, the profile overall become inert. Note, I also copied Falconeer Hotas controls section into the new 4.36 keybinds, but no joy on resolving the issue. Note, requires closing down BMS and restart for profile to regain function; however if pinky clicked, it causes issue again.
Hopefully it can be resolved, as it appears to be a nice profile, plus with a nice VoiceAttack complement too! -
RE: SemlerPDX's X52 Pro 'Falconeer' HOTAS Profile for BMS 4.35
@SemlerPDX I have been trying this profile in 4.36 and it appears to work. However, when I use a shift (pinky) call, it seems to render the profile inert. For example, i try a shift(pinky) for CMS, and it appears to not work. Then i try using unshifted stick hat down for SOI focus and that does not work. Prior to the shift for CMS though, the SOI focus worked.
Unclear why the shift appears to cause the profile to not function for shift or non-shift key bindings?
Note: I verified hotas clutch unchecked and profile is active in sys tray.

RE: X52 POV HAT issue, view keeps panning
i have same issue with the mouse stick on x-52 pro. when i use stick to pan radar cursor up for example, and then release stick… it keeps panning up until it hits range limit 160m. Any other direction used on the mini-stick will set the radar cursor running in that direction even when I release the stick. Guess need to look into adding a release (key up) event on in the progamming profile to see if that fixes it.?!

RE: SmoothTrack
i picked up Smoothtrack the other day and tried it out. Actually works pretty well with BMS once tweaks in OpenTrack are worked out to allow nice view range with pilot body enabled. What is nice with SmoothTrack is there is no longer a need to mount the TrackIR clip/wires/battery to my wireless audio headset. I simply place my phone in front of me and go! it also works well in daylight as well as low light, whereas TrackIR fails in daylight. Granted, its precision is not as good as TrackIR, but for the price and the ease of use, along with no additional hardware on my headset, it works quite well. For $10 its recommended!
Note, i also tried it in all other TrackIR supported games I have and it works well… especially nice for Arma3 and the natural head tracking flows nice with steam controller movement/action…, similar with StarCitizen. -
RE: SmoothTrack
Dev has released it and its also available on Android for 10 bucks.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.epaga.smoothtrackDefinitely interested, but missed the beta where it was $5. Curious if anyone has tried it? I also have TrackIR with a battery to go wireless, but if this SmoothTrack works and there is no longer a need to wear something on my audio headset or ball cap, that would be killer! Plus, wonder if SmoothTrack would work during day with ambient light in the room. TrackIR of course, does not… All in all, promising and great idea given the use of a smart phone camera to hook in head tracking!

RE: Free up grade to win 10 only few days left, should i ?
Win10 here and works great. Go for upgrade, but be sure to check out youtube vids on how to disable all the bloat Win10 natively enables with upgrade. Its all Microsoft bloat, but its easy to disable/ditch.

RE: SweetFX for 4.33 U1?
Pick up latest version of reshade and simply use the reshade client to set up a profile for BMS. Very easy, no copying files, etc… All is done in reshade, while keeping your BMS game content relatively free.
