I have finally managed to make AI flights release Jsows and SDBs in 2D campaign.
Simply set the flight mission to Air Interdiction (AI). That’s it. RE: Taiwan 4.35.3 (compatible with bms 4.35u1)
Wow thanks for those quick hotfixes!
I tested the campaign 3 fix now and I did not get a CTD anymore when pressing the back button. Also that Chinese Navy AWACS Helicopter is happily flying it’s circles like it should. I tried launching a mission in an AV8 and it worked without a problem.
So all seems to be fixed! :clap2:There are only 2 minor things I found:
1. The astronomic position of the sun is correct for 9:00 UTC (Campaign start time) on 15.04.2004 (Default Campaign Start Date in BMS) in Southern Taiwan. (Checked with Stellarium). 9:00 UTC translates to 17:00 in Taiwan (UTC +8 ). This is 2 hours before sunset. However the Local time in the campaign is displayed as 11:00 (UTC +2). This is not game breaking or anything but confusing.2. All Taiwanese F-16s I tried always show a “PFL” Message in the PFL. It happens no matter if I do a Takeoff-, Taxi-, or manual Ramp-Start. I can’t erase it by pressing F-ACK or FLCS RESET. It did not happen in the USAF F-16s based at Yonaguni. I couldn’t find anything about a “PFL”-Message in the manual. So either this is a bug, the PFL is broken or something or -and that’s what I’m assuming- it’s just an odd specialty in Taiwanese F-16s, telling the pilot that the PFL System is working correctly or something?

Glad I could make a difference on the war effort.
The back-button crash sounds really strange. Do you have a solution for that? -
RE: Taiwan 4.35.3 (compatible with bms 4.35u1)
I did not attempt to fly av8s. I just started a new campaign (it was indeed the 3rd one) and immediately got a crash when looking at my F-16 in the weapons view. The next try it crashed when I pressed the back button.
I reinstalled everything and the back-button crash in campaign 3 still happens. The weapons view crash did not reappear so far though and campaigns 1 and 2 actually seem to be stable. One thing I noticed in campaign 1 though is that any squadrons at Kao-Hsiung Intl. did not frag any flights, not even after fast forwarding for a couple hours. Is this intended? -
RE: Taiwan 4.35.3 (compatible with bms 4.35u1)
I installed this theater for the first time now with the latest BMS 4.35 U2 update and it’s crashing all the time for me in 2D mode. I even did a complete reinstall of the sim but no change. This does not happen in Korea, Balkans, Libya and Israel so there’s something not working as intended in this theater. Just wanted to let you know.
