RE: Headsets
The ThrustMaster set has been discussed in an earlier thread:
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?37640-Headset-recommendatioins
I’ll stick to my point of view: It’s a nice looking headset with a good fit… but the sound is a bit of a dissapointment…

RE: Joystick controller card to usb conversion
Hi Vito
Try to do a Google search on something like “serial joystick to usb”.
I’m sure you’ll find something that may help you out. I’ve got no experience with any of the products, but some are said to be compatible with the old thrustmaster sticks.https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Joystick-Adapter-SideWinder-F3U200-08/dp/B000067RIV

RE: Headset recommendatioins?
Currently looking at the Thrustmaster T.Flight U.S. Air Force Edition which has mostly high review marks on Amazon, but one review said it suffered from poor Bass sounds. Anyone here have one of those that can relate their experience?
The Thrustmaster AF Edition got the looks, good fit and works well with VA / VAC etc. …… BUT I have to agree… the bass sounds are a real dissapointment, compared to other gaming headsets. Sad, but true IMO.

RE: Iron Bombs hits surface of water and does not sink
As I know bouncing effect is not modelled in any flight sim. It is way too rare thing to spend any resource on it. Any modeling would be just mimicking the effect.
Actually, IL-2 has skip-bombing modelled.
AFAIK it has been concidered an effecitive alternative to dive-bombing in “the old days”. -
RE: Yame64 4.34
Not yet. But you can make it work with the current version. Check the other thread:

RE: Converting Cougar Throttle to F 16 style throttle
Hi mounty.
It depends on what kind of convertion you are talking about.
If you are talking about an “extention” of the Cougar throttlearm to the looks, size and functionality of the real one, there is some options to choose from.First: You can try to get hands on some drawings and dimensions and dive in and build it from scratch. I havn’t the direct link, but you’ll be able to find them somewhere at viperpits.org
Second: If you have acces to a capable 3D printer, you can get the ready made files Hempstead has provided (for free) via:
http://www.hempstick.org/The_Official_Hempstick_Site/F16_Throttle_Arm.htmlThird: You can dig into your savings and buy one of the best replicas around, made by Martin. Again, go to viperpits and take a look. It’s top quality
http://www.viperpits.org/smf/index.php?topic=10079.0If you are going all the way and want to have the throttle guiderail mounted as well, Matin makes that one too. You can also get one via realsimworld:
https://realsimworld.dk/f16-simulator-shop/left-console-partsHope, that’ll give you some inspiration
Many have had the experience that scratchbuilding is tempting, partly because of the challenge of creating it your self, partly because of the prospect of saving money… well, taking into account the time you spend on searching for info and use on building - and the money you end up using on the right materials - a lot of people find that buying a good replica to begin with would have been worth the expence. Just my 2C (and experience)Good luck with your project. Let us know how it goes.
Best regards

RE: No drag chute deploy
Hi Jan
I do not think that you’ll find a dragchute on an RDAF falcon.
Try the norwegian or dutch viper and check if the problem persist.

Hi Yogi.
Could you post a picture? Not sure exactly what part you are talking about.
I may have a spare part since I’ve converted mine.

RE: Cougar TQS can it be used with Warthog Joystick..
I have one, it works. VERY well…
Have one aswell, but never got it working properly… (spiking all over the place)
May give another try soon -
RE: Cougar TQS can it be used with Warthog Joystick..
Yep! Same outlay. The Warthog has an extra “button” in the CMS switch. I guess you could call it a depressable four-way switch.

RE: Cougar TQS can it be used with Warthog Joystick..
Hi SgtT11B
In general any USB stick/throttle/etc… can be used in conjunction with each other in BMS. It’s just a matter of configurating them in the UI.
I’m curious about the “TQS USB”…… is it the Cougar TQS with Realsimulator TUSBA adaptor? Cougar TQS’ are normaly conected via the stick.Any pitures??
Best regards

RE: How to get my F22 Pro, TQS to work with Windows 10 and BMS 4.33
Hi SgtT11B
You could try a joystick-converter that’ll enable you to use an old gameport stick as a USB device. Like this one:
http://www.cablesonline.com/dbjoytousbco.htmlIt’s a fairly inexpensive solution, but I’m not sure how well it works.
If you’re into tinkering with the inner parts of your trusty old stick, you could consider to rewire the hole thing and connect it to usb interfase like Leo Bodnars products. Do a search on YT or have a look at the Viperpits homepage (be warned… it’s addictive… ) There should be some usefull info or hints to be found at those places.Best regards…

RE: [EDTracker] How to order?
Hi Earlybite.
Been some time since I got mine, but the process was quite straight forward.
“Checkout” is usually where you pay for the goods. I can’t remember if signing in/registration is required, but I think it is.

RE: IVC UHF in Left Ear VHF in Right ear
Accoding to an autobiography (“Kysser Himlen” (“Kissing the Sky”)) by the danish pilot (callsign MET) the Terma AAMS was implemented in RDAF F-16’s with the MLU M5.1 update.
His experience was that the noisereduction in the system made earplugs redundant and, in his own words: “… having UHF in my left ear, and VHF in my right was a pretty nice feature, but it did take some radiocalls to get it integrated in my bio-computer”
