Unsolved BMS Crashing
-
@Seifer I was hoping for something like this, disabling TTS, I just didn’t know how. unfortunately and strangely it had no effect, and I disabled it through the user and global files. The log remains the same
-
@Vinícius-Amaral more weird stuff in the crash log:
Module List: C:\Windows\System32\PSAPI.DLL, loaded at 0x0000000000600000
This is (or should be) a standard Win32 library – I don’t understand why it’s showing up in your list of loaded DLLs.
also
<ZES_ENABLE_SYSMAN=1>
I googled this but I don’t know what it’s all about … do you have some sort of dev tool installed that is injecting itself into processes?
-
@airtex2019 I only have vs code installed, I don’t believe it’s related
-
@Vinícius-Amaral may sound weird, but do you have internet banking installed on your PC?
The reason I’m asking is because brazilian internet banking install something called warsaw service which is like a virus, and generates tons of problems with falcon.
If so, try removing that service.
-
@Seifer I don’t have internet banking installed on my PC. For some reason that I don’t know, there is “ZES_ENABLE_SYSMAN=1” in my environment variables, I deleted it. the PSAPI.DLL also stopped loading after a while but still no effect, same crash.

@Vinícius-Amaral I see
Windows 10 (10.0.19045)
but is there anything interesting or unusual about your Windows install… eg. is it one of the “N” editions, or an intl sku? or Tiny10 or similar?My thinking: no one else has reported this particular crash or behavior… and it seems somehow related to TTS components not being present. (not sure)
-
@airtex2019 Windows 10 pro 22H2
-
Could it be anything related to sound devices? The speech should be audible somehow and over time (with previous versions of BMS) there has been reports of crashes right before some speech was due, like during ATC or tanker messaging.
-
@jayb All audio drivers seem to be ok, and the audio seems to work fine in Instant Action, only in all other modes that use TextToSpeech (I’m assuming that Instant Action doesn’t use it and that’s why it happens well) It crashes. Even if TextToSpeech is disabled it continues to crash with the same log, I don’t understand why

Oi, Vinicius!
BMS became a RAM checker: About a month ago I was CTDing in one of my PCs always on a debug print function always after 3-4 minutes in a TE mission, not dogfight. All other my PCs working ok. No sense at all. Then I did a memtest and found out that one of the dimms was completely furbared.
If nothing helps you here, please do a memtest.Abs
