ok here is the issue I was having, and fixed thanks to Metalhead’s help. I will try to explain the best I can. if anyone has the issue where the MFDs and HUD aren’t showing anything, go into the 3dckpit.dat file, and makes sure the “LOD files to use” matches the parent numbers of the installed LODs you used. for example here are mine:
// the LOD models to use.
cockpitwingsmodel 3164; // the 3d cockpit wings model
cockpitmodel 3165; // the main 3d cockpit model
cockpitmodel2 3166; // switches and knobs
cockpitmodel3 3167; // displays
cockpitcanopymodel 3168; // Canopy model
cockpithudmodel 3169; // RTT-Hud
mainmodel 1331; // the primary model
damagedmodel 1288; // the damaged model
MODEL LODnum PARENTnum
1-cockpit-wings 8125 3164
2-cockpit 8126 3165
3-switches-and-knobs 8127 3166
4-RTT-displays 8128 3167
5-cockpit-canopy 8129 3168
6-hud-RTT 8130 3169
they match. so all good. if that’s the case and still doesn’t work, find this in 3dckpit.dat:

and remove the bottom 2 lines. then put a // before each line to cancel them. you can then test in BMS and the MFDs should appear offset like this (it’s the default F-16 MFD position)
then go back to the file and remove the // from the hud line. start BMS and you should be able to see the hud. that means it’s working so remove the other // lines and you’re good to go.
shoutout to Metalhead for helping me fix the problem! F-22 is working fully now
That is the weirdest installed f22 i will try to help you tonight through the teamviewer be on falcon online ts tonight 8pm brazilian time utc-3
thanks man. can u do 9pm brazil time? I don’t get home until then
I’ve reinstalled falcon and ran through the videos 4 or 5 times and I can’t see where I’m going wrong. This latest time I am getting this view in the cockpit:
I can’t seem to get the avionics to work. everything else works like the cockpit switches and textures etc, but the MFDs and HUD don’t display anything. Used LOD editor and installed into KTO as per your videos
belay that, the problem was the fuel flow button on the IFEI (like agave_blue said). Hope this helps anyone else who might have this problem.
where is the fuel flow switch? and about the hotas, i’m using a ch pro throttle without idle detent programmed in BMS. I do have an AB detent set though
Also, I should clarify, I can move the throttle to idle without it cutting out. Sometimes the engines will just die in flight for no apparent reason, and my throttle moves back to idle. it may not even be a throttle problem, and it’s just playing the animation since the engines are off
Hi. I have a problem where, when I rampstart the F/A-18, my engines will randomly flame out during flight. It mostly happens when I nose up slightly when using cruise power. I can see the throttles instantly snap back to the idle cut off position and the engines go out. I restart them mid air, and it will just keep happening.
I do not have a cutoff detent set in the options, and I am quite sure I’m doing the startup correctly. I don’t have this problem in any other plane.
Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know why it’s happening? I appreciate any help
I set g_fAmbientmin to 0.05 and it’s good now
