From my talkings with multiple IRL viper pilots, they’ve said they do not use TWS at all, it’s track quality is not very good and I’ve also heard it’s prone to exploitation. They use ST SAM, DT SAM, DTT and STT. In newer vipers they even removed the TMS right long command that switches between tws and rws and replaced it with something else.

RE: HAD improvements
He is actually correct about the dashed line for the emitter part, they should only be there for the datalink emitters on the HAD. There should be a way to turn off the rings for the PPTs in the HAD CNTL PAGE 2, and the PPTs should be displayed with a carrot above them. However, this is fairly minor stuff that may not be worth the dev time if you have bigger fish to fry.

Double Front ALR-93 chart
I created a chart for the ALR-93 and thought maybe I should finally share for the rest of the community to use. I created a smaller size perfect for the kneeboard, and a larger size that explains some of the other parts of the ALR-93.

RE: Difference between block 40 and 50?
@Migbuster Yup, that’s correct, some US ANG have them but not USAF

RE: Difference between block 40 and 50?
IRL, USAF Block 40s also dont have an IFF interrogator compared to the block 50s that do

RE: MRM/DF override
@Fish44 Correct, in order for me to go to DF override mode from MRM override is to first hit the cancel button then hit the DF override. So its 2 button clicks to do it, if you DONT hit the cancel callback first, it switches to AIM-9s while still being in MRM override which is not a function of the real aircraft as it is physically impossible to hit the DF override switch position from the MRM position without going through the cancel command. People without the Warthog/Cougar/maybe the winwing F-16 throttle, probably have this issue too.

RE: MRM/DF override
@Fish44 that wont work because that would mean I would have to hold my momentary button down forever pretty much

RE: MRM/DF override
I dont have a 3 way switch, I have 3 momentary buttons I use, one bound to MRM, one bound to DF cancel, and one bound the DGFT override. If I want to switch from MRM to DGFT overide, I have to click my cancel button then my DGFT override button, i shouldnt have to do that. If I were to do that press/release thing, I would have to hold down my MRM or dogfight button down for like an hour or so during a flight

RE: MRM/DF override
@Stevie said in MRM/DF override:
I have my HOTAS set up to cancel MRM and/or DF as I transition the switch to center (I use a Cougar TQS so I have RL switching)
Not every HOTAS has a 3 position switch like this, that’s why I would like the MRM -> DF logic corrected

RE: MRM/DF override
@Stevie If you are in MRM mode, and you hit DF override you dont leave MRM, it stays in MRM but switches to sidewinders in BMS. You can only get to DF override from MRM if you press the DF cancel callback THEN hit the DGFT override, if you dont press DF Cancel it does some weird switch to sidewinders which doesnt exist IRL

MRM/DF override
So when trying to enter DF override from MRM and you dont hit the DF cancel callback it instead switches to sidewinders which isnt a thing IRL as its not possible to do that. I request that its changed so you dont have to hit DF Cancel then DF mode to switch from MRM to DF.
