@A.S:
I have to wonder and ask: Why people try to simulate a plane which data is more than to 70% classified?
better than running around my living room with arms outstretched making low whooshing noises.

It seems F.L.A.R.E will never die. It’ll… flare… up in one form or another.
All we have to do is be patient, which for a flight simmer is something we’re used to.
Heads up - just a quick note for Eyefinity or Surround users running three monitors.
The cockpit side views FOV for this mod have not been updated, it’s still set to 50.0 so you won’t be able to see the side panels. You’ll have to update the FOV manually, as we used to do.
Once the mod is installed, go to */Data/Art/ckptart/ and go to all the Block 40/42’s, open the 3dckpit.dat (I use Notepad++), find viewlimit_pitch_down and set it to 75.0.
@Tom:
Well- I still trying to overwork my textures. The latest news: The textures are useable for spring, summer and fall now.
I expect that I will need some weeks. Hope this is okay so far … Cheers,
Tom
Thanks Tom.
Just a request though - if the new textures are “some weeks” away, which in flight sim time could be a while, any chance of the old texture pack being put up again? I’ll take anything over the fugly default terrain.
@tyrspawn:
I will not do this. However, I do have a solution for you.
Download DownloadHelper for Firefox. It allows you to download videos directly off YouTube. You can then watch them offline.
Just as good. Thanks.
These vids are invaluable. Just one request - are you able to upload the 1080 videos somewhere so we can download them?
I’m just thinking long term here for me as who knows what may happen to youtube or your account in the future and we are talking about Falcon here so we’d probably be playing this for another good 10 -15 years or so. These vids are too well done to get lost somewhere.
Thanks for these. Very helpful and informative.
