View distance and fog
-
Hey guys,
So I noticed that there seems to be a thick grey band of fog from probably 15-30nm out from my AC, and 360deg around my AC (sunny and fair conditions). So I really can’t see anything beyond this grey band of fog which seems to limit my view distance. I checked my weather settings, and I have full 30nm in relation to sunny and fair view distance - which does not seem far out at all actually.
Haven’t seen any other posts with this issue. Am I missing a setting for max view distance without fog or are there startup parameters like the old -g7 setting (I think that was it - been a while). I checked the manual as well and nothing mentioned in this regard.
Thanks guys!

What Altitude are you flying at when this happens, any flight level? I haven’t played much with the weather, but what are your settings in wx? Ps, -g5 was the line if I recall, can be used with varied results in 4.32, don’t know about 4.33 however
Side note, the fog/visibility issues I have are usually alcohol related

It happens at any altitude. If you haven’t noticed this I’ll have to check my settings.
Thanks,

Well after looking through the screen shots of 4.33 it appears everyone else has the same fog band I have. No biggie.

It would be good if that band could be pushed back to perhaps 50 or 60 miles, depending on the weather.
