Multiple Screen Resolution
-
Hi All - Hope you guys can help me figure this out.
I have four screen each at 1920x1080. I enabled Nvidia surround so that I have a total resolution of 7680x1080. I want BMS to run with only 3 screens (5760x1080) and the remaining screen for MFD extraction. In BMS setting, I do not get the option of 5760x1080; I get 7680x1080, 1920x1080, and lower resolutions. In Cockpit Display Extraction, the MAIN window only allows inputs for Left and Top but the Width and Height parameters are grayed out. Any ideas?
Thanks for all the help!

You might have to Nvidia Surround create a screen with 5760x1080 resolution then turn your fourth screen into an extension. Or I believe you will have to manually re-write your configuration file.

Hi spectrclaw,
Could you please be more specific? How do I extend the fourth screen? What configuration file needs to be rewritten? Thanks for the response.

In Catalyst Control Center which is for ATI/AMD card we create a “display group” in the “Eyefinity” tab.
You will need to do the same in the Nvida control panel. Only include 3 of your 4 screens in that group.
The other monitor will then be separate and manageable in a desktop management tab some where else.

Your problem is including the fourth monitor into the surround configuration. Re-do the surround config ONLY setting up three monitors for a 5760x1080 resolution which will leave the one monitor for extracted displays.
More specifically under the displays area on the surround setup there will be a drop down menu under topology. Instead of leaving it at 1x4 which leaves you nothing you set it up as a 1x3.

i am running 6 monitors
3x 22 1x24 touch and 2x9 for mfdThe windows display config didnt work out for me .
Eyefinity neither. My problem was …. switching between 6 and 1 mon config.
Back to 1 is not the problem , but switching back ended always in a mix.Now i have 2 xml files on my desktop , one for bms and one for 1 monitor

Skyrider.
In the nvidia surround configuration setup only three screens to the 5760x1080. After that setup you can use the windows screen properties to enable your fourth monitor to an extended screen.
