@jc1:
For Look Closer your script has USB L, key file has FOVToggle -1 0 0x26 0 0 0 1 “VIEWGEN: Look Closer - Toggle”. In the BMS controller setup screen, when I press S4 I get Look Closer, but in game nothing happens. Why is that?
@Mud:
That’s weird indeed. And when you press the L key once you’re in the pit?
In the pit, when I press the L key nothing happens.
In the pit, I also tried the other “L” switch you have in your profile, the taxi lights on RDR ALTM. It worked. You don’t have Laser Arm On/Off in your profile. What could be wrong with “Look Closer”?
-
I’m baffled.
The only thing I can think if it to reload my keyfile in BMS. Other than that I fear a reinstall of BMS. Not that that’s guaranteed to sort it out.

I reloaded your keyfile. Still didn’t work. Reinstalled BMS. Still didn’t work. Put FOVToggle on another switch. BMS Controller screen showed “Look Closer” for the new switch, just like when it was on the old switch. Pressing “l”, that’s el, on the keyboard shows “Look Closer”, just like the old switch did. But in the sim, it still didn’t work, does nothing. I’m going to post this problem on the General Discussion forum to see if anyone else got a problem like this.
-
Hmm yeah, good idea. That appears to be something on the BMS side. Yet strange that so far you’re the only one reporting this as far as I know.
I hope you get it sorted! -
Dear Mud ,
Im trying to shoot a missile using the S2 button that you have shown the PDF diagram but it doesn’t shoot , Im just trying to shoot in the air with no lock and i have the master arm ON and the A-A master mode selected from ICP . what key on the keyboard is the S2 button is attached to ( by default i think it should be space ) but your keyboard layout shows (space bar) to be empty. any idea how to shoot -
Depends what missile you’re trying to shoot. You cannot fire an AIM-120 without a valid lock on your radar, unless you fire a maddog. An AIM-9 on the other hand you can fire without a lock.
Also take into account that you have to hold down the S2 button for about 2 seconds for an AIM-120 to fire, even when you have a valid lock.There should be enough info on the forums and manuals on this subject.

Thank you for clarifying i will try that once i get home ,But Isn’t the AMRAAM is able of shooting with out radar lock in Visual mode ( im sorry if its stupid question but i played the DCS F-15 and it has something called Visual mode for Aim-120 ) .
Also : I assigned the slider wheel on the Throttle to Zoom axis in the advanced setup but it doesn’t work any idea why ?
( accept my apology for asking too much im just still getting the hang of setting up the control)
-
Be sure to search the forums also for the questions you have. A lot of info here has been repeated over and over unfortunately.
Here you can find the answer to your AMRAAM question:
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?23828-MRM-Boresight-Maddog-mode&highlight=maddogAs for the slider to the zoom axis: I’ll have to check that when I’m home. I’ve got mine set to the TGP zoom.

Your most frequent customer is back, already!
Updated to Windows 10, scripts work now. The issue I have now is that the following simply aren’t detected with your script: Cursor enable, pickle button, all DMS, TMS and CMS keys, NWS and pinky buttons on joystick.
My Warthog stick is experiencing the same thing since going to Win 10. What to do?
-
And the TARGET script loads properly? No errors at the bottom?
My script simply wouldn’t load under Windows 10 on both my own and my wife’s pc until I had disabled the advanced power management for USB devices in the registry. -
Hello Mud’s,
First I would like to congratulate you for the great work done with the profile you created and how much I am enjoying, besides helping me to better understand the intricacies of the warthog and how to mapping scripts …Second, sorry for my English. XD
The point is that in the mud’s.key not find the command for maveriks Uncage and I would like to know whether this is so or there is an error. At first I worked the assigned key (CMS DWN) but now, whenever I select a missile, the camera is already active. If not because of a bug, or automatically unlocks the profile to select it.
I hope I’ve explained myself well.
Un saludo

Hey Raiden,
No worries about the language; I think I understand what you mean.
Can you specify the type of Mavericks you were using? I noticed that behavior with the AGM-65G models. They are uncaged to start with, so it has nothing to do with my script.

Yes, G model. But D model not uncage at select and cms dwn dont work. And no líne to assaing in the command lista, but in the .key file yes
-
And you powered on the D model and waited for the 3 minute timeout?
-
-
@Raiden:
Yes.
Hello again. Already solved…
As there was a fault of mine; not performing the mechanics of implementation of missile correctly. Reviewing the manual I have successfully run it.
The profile works like a charm.One last question: in START procedure the throttle must be before starting the CUT OFF position right?
If I start with at idle, the engine starts but I think it is a point of acceleration and back again to idle the plane still rolling slowly, but keeps rolling. I’m right?
Thanks for the help.
-
If you ramp and start the engine yourself, you indeed need to have the throttle all the way back over the hump. Once the JFS has reached 20%, you move the throttle over the hump to full mill and back to idle immediately.
If you start in a hot jet (take-off taxi or take-off runway) the throttle should be just in the idle position. It is normal for the F-16 to start rolling when the engine is idle.

Perhaps there was a problem with my webhost. In either case it appears to be working now at least.
