SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS support thread
-
Greetings Andre.
Just to let you know that I recieved your package (super fast delivery).
Jetseat is up and running with Simshaker installed.
I can only say,…. Wow!
This is great stuff.
The effects are incredible. From the Taxi/Take-Off, to the Landing and everything in between.
Now, I’ll just have to play around with the settings to see which ones will suit me best.
Thanks so much Andre.
Great product.
Kind Regards.
Jay. -
Hi Jay,
great news!
Cheers! -
For middle placed joystick , such as F/A-18 pit, will the KW908 seat pad be interference with the joystick?
-
Hmm… That’s 50/50 I suppose.
I’ve re-factored JetSeat once for a New Zealand pilot, according to his ejecting seat sizes.
Sorry for a poor pics quality. -
In a stock JetSeat one could carefully cut out a rectangle to avoid interference with the stick.
Seems not to be a problem. -
Andre,
Why am I all of a sudden getting a high pitched sound from my Jetseat when I check the box " Keep Awake Buttkicker Amp?" I think it started after last update. Plus my Buttkicker seems to no longer work in game. It works in test sound, but seems to have half the volume now. Everything was working perfectly until recently.
-
Hard to believe that USB-driven Jetseat can suffer from checkbox at the Sound Module.
Seems to be not related things.
Have I took it right? -
This post is deleted! -
Sorry, the check box is making high pitch sound in Buttkicker.
In test sound, the signal is greyed out not solid white.
-
ahh… that’s another story.
Why not to keep it unchecked?Last update of SimShaker was on September 23, 2016.
I suggest that a recent problem may be a kind of your local issue. -

I suggest that a recent problem may be a kind of your local issue.I have been using unchecked since last update. When I say recent, I mean since last update in September. I have been trying to figure this out since then with no luck.
-
Well, I’m a bit confused. I’m sorry.
What kind of problem we should sort out? -
First problem, I can’t seem to figure out why the Buttkicker works in test sound but has much lower volume in BMS.
Second problem is why the check box makes the high pitch sound in Buttkicker now. Sound pattern is grayed out on visualization bar when checked.
Before September update none of these problems happened.
-
OK. Thank you.
The last update may be cancelled via Control Panel - Programs and Features - Change.
Could you please do that? -
Ok, I fixed the volume problem. Not sure what I did, but the volume is back full. May have been audio manager setting, but I also uninstalled and reinstalled Simshaker software.
The “Keep Buttkicker Awake” issue persists. So I guess I will keep it turned off if there is no fix.
-
“Keep Buttkicker Amp Awake” wasn’t a very good feature from the very beginning. It may depends on BK Amp filters state.
I do not recommend use it if there is no strong necessity, or customize its sound sample (keepAwake.wav) to a particular BK instance. -
Ok thanks. I have both filters turned off. Its weird though that it worked for a while then began with the high pitched sound. I will just leave it off. Thanks.

Seems not to be a problem.Noted and thanks!
