Need help configuring DX callbacks….

For the 0x42 lines, it wont report them anyway… and your post only details shifted layers. Not release modifiers. Your fishing pole will only catch red herrings.
I havent tested not having the keyboard lines in the keyfile. Will have to take you at your word.

Thansk for all the input guys, really appreciate it!!! Will give it a try!!! Fingers crossed.

Got it working perfectly now. The DX-1 for the callback was the best hint!!! Thanks everyone, very happy!!

Right….bit of a mystery here. When I add the extra lines to a Keyfile, copy them to my config file and load the keyfile in BMS, it works perfectly. However, if I then add a callback via BMS Settings menu and save the Keyfile, the added lines mysteriously disappear in the Keyfile…??? Ummmmm…?!?
So this is in the keyfile:
SimRFNorm 310 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “MISC: RF Switch - NORM”
SimRFQuiet 310 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “MISC: RF Switch - QUIET”
SimRFSilent 310 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “MISC: RF Switch - SILENT”
SimRFNorm 179 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
SimRFQuiet 179 -1 -2 0x42 0x0 0
SimRFQuiet 180 -1 -2 0x42 0x0 0
SimRFSilent 180 -1 -2 0 0x0 0Now, after editing the ILS toggle button in BMS and saving the Keyfile, only these lines are left…
SimRFNorm 310 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “MISC: RF Switch - NORM”
SimRFQuiet 310 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “MISC: RF Switch - QUIET”
SimRFSilent 310 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “MISC: RF Switch - SILENT”For some reason the other lines are automatically deleted from the Keyfile…

Yup! You didnt read that manual I see. Ah well.
The BMS editor is not designed to handle that stuff. If you save the keyfile using the BMS built in settings page, it will ‘clean’ your keyfile for you, helpfully removing those nonsense lines you added with the 0x42 crap in them. Handy, isnt it?
Just one more reason to use a text editor, not the BMS settings page, to edit your keyfile.

Well, I did read it, but not well enough, found the part in the beginning where it says “DO NOT USE BMS”……apologies!!!
Got a workaround though, just change buttons in BMS, save, then open keyfile in editor and add the extra lines at the end of the keyfile…works now…Why does BMS insist on cleaning up these lines btw…? Surely this can be changed…

Submit a PR to the devs, Im sure that will get merged at their earliest convenience…. I kid.
That will in fact work, but it gets untenable when you have multiple panels worth of switches using release state programming. I recommend np++ for future forays into editing. YMMV.

Well, luckily I only have one ON-OFF-On and two ON-OFF switches in my pit, so not too much trouble, rest are all ON-ON-ON etc……
Thanks for the tip though!!! Appreciated!
