Issue on 4.33 U3
-
I installed the U3, from a clean install. And when enter the start screen i cannot click on any of the menus that appears up in the screen. I mean “menu” “tactical eng” and any of them.
I hear the music, can move the mouse around, but when pass over the text nothing pop and can´t click.Maybe is a issue with screen resolution in the new U3? Because with the U2 everything works fine
My Native desktop resolution is 2560x1440p -

My Native desktop resolution is 2560x1440pThe UI is hard coded to 1024x768, so will stretch/distort to full screen. What happens if you run the game in windowed mode instead of full screen?

In your X:\Falcon BMS 4.33\User\Config folder, delete the dx9display.dsp file and see if that helps. The file will regenerate upon boot of BMS.

Thx for the fast response.
I made an exe for the BMS exe (not the launcher) with “-window” as extension. But that doesnt worked.
I deleted the “dx9display.dsp” and doesnt worked.
I try to launch in 32-bit mode and then the menu worked.
So its the 64bit exe where is the problem.Im in a Win10 64bit plataform by the way. And in BMS U2 64b there was no problem at all
And i noticed that my Rivatuner (wich i se for monitor GP and CPU) dont show it anymore in BMS. Maybe the 32bit or maybe the U3.
Meanwhile I will google it to see if i can find any program to record the desktop. So i can upload a video with the issue

Hayha, I sent you a PM.

I try to capture it on video but since the BMS forced change in resolution at menu. Not a singel desktop recorder can record the menu and desktop.
This is the best i could get.As you see when i execute in 32bit no problems with the menu. You can hear the sounds of the menu while moving the mouse and click inside the pages.
Later i execute in 64bit and the menu is stucked. You can only hear the clik sounds the recorder provide when left clicking the mouse. No sound at all of the menu.I think the 64bit mode get stucked and is not a problem with resizing

I have no idea about what you can do with your problematic display……
but damn I love that wallpaper/F16 photo!

Can you make another test and video, but set the desktop and 2D GUI resolution the same?
-
Sorry, i tried but doesnt worked too. Putting the desktop at GUI resolution and cannot record the whole process.
I recorded the menu at 64bit. As soon as it starts. You can hear the music, so i guess its not some short of crash. But when the mouse pass over the menu buttons nothing happens.
I guess its a rare bug, and seems there is no solution sadly but playing at 32bit. The weird thing is that doesnt happens with U2
