Airlifting ground units and relocating squadrons

In my current campaign, my ground forces bypassed some enemy-owned installations on their push north, but they are actually undefended.
I’m trying to set an Airmobile mission with helicopters or cargo planes, but I always get a “bad timing” error no matter what I try or how far in the future I set the TOS.The next question is pretty simple. At this point in the campaign there is very little risk of enemies bombing or capturing my airfields. Is there some way to move squadrons closer to the battle?

Get Mission Commander. You’ll be able to move the squadrons, and you can try basing your helos close to the airmobile battalion to make the flight path as short as possible.

I’m playing around in the editor with C-130 squadrons with air assault brigades right at their base, and still get the bad timing message…

In campaign many of those squadrons are fully tasked.
Try adding one some where with MC and remember to take ownership of it.
