BMS 000- Benchmark Test Results.

By the look of your performance impact cloud vs no cloud I think your GPU has difficulties to handle alpha layers of clouds
You might need to tune your GPU settings or update drivers
If you have 50fp with no cloud you should get around 35 with clouds
With scattered clouds (default dogfight scenario) I get from 35 to 40 FPS, even if there’s multiple of them (it’s only an issue if I zoom in/fly through a cloud, decreasing my FPS to the 20’s - any idea if there’s a way to disable this? It’s like if the game increases clouds details the closer I get/more I zoom in, but it’s barely noticeable and I couldn’t care less for a slightly less detailed cloud up close).
The real problem though is the overcast, only then I get a serious performance impact. As for the alpha layers, I honestly have no clue on what it means (pardon my ignorance xD). But should there be anything I can do on my video card settings panel? I’ll check for drivers update, but I’m quite sure it’s up to date already.
Thanks.
Edit: pretty much everyone I talked to is having a worse performance in cloud heavy scenarios. It’s very noticeable how much more demanding 4.34 is even though I notice about no graphical improvement on my end.

Performance:
-At Ramp, cold jet, Inclement: 16 to 18FPS while zoomed out looking 20° up, 40 to 50 while looking down, 6 to 8 while zoomed in looking towards the horizon (1 to 2 FPS increase when changing cumulus coverage from 5/8 to 2/8!)
-At Ramp, cold jet, Sunny (no clouds): 40 to 50FPS while looking up, 50 to 60 while looking down, 40 to 50 while zoomed in looking to the horizon;Cant compare unless you just use the default view and FOV. Way to many variables.
As a side note my Sunny Fps go to 42 from 32.

Fully zoomed out/default has no change in FPS (keeps changing between 16 to 18) as long as the horizon is in sight.

Good numbers cortomalteseit great for a 1050.
Did you try with a cold jet.
My Cold Jet no extraction @ 2560x1440 with a moderate OC on cpu gets me to 35fps

Hi Shadow!
I started my test with cockpit cold and dark (about 40-42 FPS), then did a ramp start, take off and had a flight for several minutes, recording minimum and maximum values in each condition.
I’m satisfied by the frame rate obtained, and graphic is pretty nice too.
I’m at disposal for further informations, if required -

Comparison with BMS 4.334:
As there is no TE Benchmark test, I used TE Ground Opps - Training - Cockpit view4.334 Runway 63 fps
4.34 “” 73 fps
4.334 Taxiway 59 fps
4.34 “” 75 fpsMy BMS Graphic Settings (same for 4.334 and 4.34)
Multisampling q.level 0 On
Vertical Sync Off
Objects. trees, grass etc All Maxed
HDR Bloom Off
HDR Blur Off
Advanced options All 5 OnMy Nvidia Panel settings:
Tripple Bufer ON
Cuda All
Shader Cache On
Texture filtering Quality Performance
Texture filtering Anisotropic 16X
Texture filtering Neg.LOD…. Clamp
Texture filtering Trilinear Opt On
Threaded optimisation On
Vertical Sync Off
Max pre-rendered frames Aplication controlled
Antialiasing Gama correction on
Antialiasing Mode Aplication Controlled
Antialiasing Transparency Off
Antialiasing FXAA Off
Multiframe sample AA Off
Power management Max PerformanceI played with all diferent settings and those are giving me maximun performance.
In antialiasing case, for example I found that was better to disable it from Nvidia settings and enable Multisampling Q.Level 0 at BMS, and that gave me a diference of about 2 or 3 Fps, and is enough for eliminate all zaggings

Multisampling 0 ain’t like having no multisampling? Or 0 is like the first value as in code u start counting from 0?
In my case 0 has zigzag.Στάλθηκε από το MI 5 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

In my case there is a noticeable diference between enabling multisample at 0 level and not at all, so, it must be the first step of the scale.-
For example, the Hud frame zigzag dissapears -

Was getting below 60 FPS on 4.34 benchmark and in campaign which is unacceptable for most PC gamers in 2019 with a decent mid range gaming PC.
Turned off shadow mapping in config now getting above 60. Everything else maxed AF 16x AA 8x in nvidia control panel.
4.33 above 60 with shadow mapping on even in campaign, 4.34 not.

BMS 000 Benchmark results
AMD Ryzen 5 3.4 MHz
16Gb RAM
Windows 10 Home installed to 100Gb SSD with page file
Falcon BMS installed to 500 Gb SSD
MSI GTX 1070 with MSI burner over clocking
Samsung 43” 4kTV (main display)
2nd display 22” 1920x1080 (MFD Exports)At 2560 x 1440 (1440p) I get 50-60 FPS on the taxi way and above the clouds FPS is >60. With TGP on I get a 10 FPS performance hit.
At 4k I get 30-40 FPS on the taxi way and above the clouds is 40-50FPS. With TGP on FPS is around 30
These are rough numbers but within the range.
What kills me is that this sim has a dated graphics engine and is still making the GPU struggle. These newer GFX cards should be ripping through these frames, but I guess part of the problem is that the sim can’t be optimized any more than what the graphics engine will allow.

Started at runway looking straight forward
Without TGP: 49
With TGP: 39Any suggestions? With G-Sync compatible it’s pretty smooth!

Excuse my ignorance, but where would I find this “BMS-000 Benchmark” mission?
