Workarounds for 64 button controllers?
-
Just wondering if anyone knows of any. I have a button box and the control board allows for 64 inputs. Of course, this is limited in F4, but I know it is compatable with some of the other sims out there. Anyone have a way to make them all recognizable?

Joystick gremlin and vjoy. Create a vjoy device with 32 buttons, forward buttons 33-64 on your controller to vjoy.

That sounds doable. Thanks. I was hoping for a more permanent answer where I didn’t have to use vjoy though.

I wonder if voice attack would work for this (nice especially if you already use it for voice comms) Assign joystick buttons to commands et voila.
The question is does VA support 64 button controllers (I’m not sure)

Joystick buttons go up to 128

I’m not smart on all of this, so I will probably butcher the what/why, but from my understanding, the DX software that most use only allow you to make use of 32 buttons. Some sims allow more, but that appears to be the exception and not the norm.
I did try vjoy/ucr a few days ago, but didn’t have any luck. The UCR program seems to also be limited to the same 32 button restriction as I couldn’t build a custon vjoy controller with anything falling under 33-64. There might be a way, I’m just not smart enough to know how to do it.
