Resolution……Stock as C9 stated
You can change it……if you KNOW how and WHY you are doing it…
The HOW is pretty much self explanatory in the pic’s, the WHY is a little more complicated. Remember and be careful “The Falcon World is FLAT”……lol!
Not really, it is sinusoidal…(or is that suicidal???)…but still flat….chuckle.As far as the .E00 file’s we have RULE’s that can be changed if you want…this pic is for the Software Dev.
I do not know if D2T will import the specified file format, not going to go there as I develop Terrain’s with a totally different approach. BUT I think it should, in worst case you may have to convert your .OSM.EOO.SHP….etc. file to a pattern file (.pat) or possibly just rename them. As well, the tool may have other dependency’s that I am not aware of.
Cheers,

I tackled that a few months ago (and gave up because TacEdit and my computers wouldn’t play nice together).
Now I don’t remember the whole workflow, but I’ll poke around my stuff and see if I can trace it back tomorrow.
If my memory serves me right, it involved going from .adf to .e00 using the converter arty linked above (e00 import export tool) and I believe a very minor file editing afterwards.
Still got the whole database of .adf (which I believe cover the whole world), can link it if anyone’s interested.

Alright .ADF database : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1V6ekXSNHG9l_rile0814ND0YTKAdGhwf
Now my workflow was as such.
First you’ll need the above database (export where you want)
Secondly, the importer/exporter (http://avce00.maptools.org/dl/avce00-2.0.0-win32.zip)
- Take it and extract the content anywhere you want;
- Also, create the folder where you will export the .E00 or you will get an error -> “Cannot create [insert export path]: No such file or directory”;
Now, you’ll open a command-prompt.
- type “cd [path to the folder where you exported the importer/exporter]”, in exemple “cd c:\users\esper\desktop\exporter”;
- now you are ready to export, type “avcexport [path to .adf file’s folder you need] [path to exported folder]”, exemple “avcexport h:\adf_db\india\rdline h:\e00\india\rdline.e00”;
- repeat for dnnet/ponet/pppoly/aepoint/pppoint/rrline OR whatever you need;
Last step before import, you need to do a small edit of the exported file, otherwise Dem2Terrain will refuse the file.
- Open the exported file in a text editor;
- The very first line should look something like this : “EXP 0 H:\ADF_DB\INDIA\RDLINE.E00”
- Change it to this : “EXP 0 H:/ADF_DB/INDIA/RDLINE.E00”
- The only difference is the reversing of the “slash”.
That’s how I went about the whole thing. Hope it is helpful.

The whole world in our hands and working with Dem2Terrain?
wow… Santa of the century just came to town???
Now u know me… I like to stretch things to death.
Does it contain and buildings like lots for example? Or you could provide such for the whole world or where you found the data after all? -

Thanks,I’ll try it.

Not sure what you mean?
Or you could provide such for the whole world or where you found the data after all?
I can try to retrace where I found it, no promises tho, if i remember it was buried quite deep into the internet.
Edit : Found the original source (https://psu.app.box.com/v/dcw/file/55755582550), still comes as one big compressed folder, much the same as what I uploaded on google drive.

You sure this is correct?? It’s not working for me.
Maybe a clarification?

Are you getting an error like this? - avcexport : Cannot create [insert export path]: No such file or directory
If such, and this is my mistake I forgot to point it out, you have to create the export folder beforehand. -
I figured that out and created an export folder, but I’m now getting permission denied on the creation??
Your attachment is working.

Are you getting this on command prompt?
Never had this error so unsure what could be the cause. -
Might have found it, did you launched command-prompt in administrator? Cause I get this error when I do. Try not launching in admin mode.

LOL, been messing with permissions and yes, I was running it in admin thinking that was the problem. I’ll switch back and let ya know. Thanks!!

If not, make sure you give the full file extension at the end, exemple : rdline.E00 (this caused it for me too this way)
Full example of export command line:
avcexport h:\dcw\coverages\brazil\rdline h:\dcw\e00\brazil\rdline.e00Otherwise I am not sure.
Edit : Nevermind, nothing to do with admin mode (at least on my side) I just messed-up the command line, gave me a false cause sorry.
-
Same thing, permission denied??

Can you screen cap your command prompt?

Can you screen cap your command prompt?
Sure:
I’ve tried everything I can think of? I have the data in 2 separate places and have tried both locations with the same results. Using the .E00 extension and not.
