No joystick force feedback in 4.34.U4
-
Joysick force feedback is worink in 4.33.U4, but is completely absent from the latest 4.34.U4. Can’t play with my MS FFB2
-
For 4.34 recommended to turn of Force Feedback completely
-
+1^ I just checked my settings. Force Feedback NOT checked. My MS FFB2 works fine.

Could you post a link to this? Massive shame if that is the case as FFB was was perfectly adequate in all the past years of Falcon and Falcon BMS.
It’s my only stick as FFB is fantastic in Il2:1946, Rise of Flight, IL2:Cliffs, DCS and IL2:Stalingrad. Basically the only flying game that does not support FFB is Warthunder - which I do not ever play partly for that reason. Would be a shame if BMS made an unlikely couple with Warthunder in that regard

It does work fine in all respects, but the stick is completely loose and flacid :), there is no centering force or anything. Do you fly with it like that or are you saying you do have centering forces?
-
I DO have centering forces.

I DO have centering forces.
Wow! Many thanks for the reply! plot thickens then
BMS version 4.34 U4? Do you use the Alternative Launcher to set up your controls by any chance? I did as I need shift feature to compensate for the lack of buttons on my MSFFB2+CH Pro Throttle USB setup. I guess I’ll do another install and see what happens.
Thank you for letting me know, I gave up on 4.34 because of this, but will persevere now.
EDIT: clean reinstall of 4.34 U4 with prior deletion of all registry traces, no Alternative Launcher and… I HAVE FFB! Yaaay
I’m off to experiment with the alternative launcher, but super happy that BMS still has FFB.
Thanks all! -
Yes I do use Alt Launcher. I just went in game and “checked” the FFB option and I get centering forces that way also.

Yep, all is finally working here as well - Alternative Launcher and all. Still no idea what went wrong and how I manage to waste at least two hours on what was a simple reinstall in the end. Massive thanks for your kind help, without your replies i would have given up on the 4.34 version with 100% likelihood!

I just restarted BMS and had NO centering forces with FFB checked. When I unchecked it’ I got the centering force back. I vaguely remember seeing the post that references what Oakdesign mentions above, but can not find it now.

I have to confirm that FFB in BMS works fine. I just wonder if someone has some manual or advices how to config feedback.ini in user\config directory. Some years ago with no clue how it works i edited this config
by try -> fail method and after few days it brought some fruits and i made some effect work except concrete strip effect
( what is this for ?). -

( what is this for ?).Concrete strip effect is the rumble from landing/rolling down the runway - as runways are strips of concrete I guess:)
Please share if you manage to get some more effects working. Particularly the rumble from bomb detaching, although cannon FFB would be cool too.

Yea thx, good point, i was hoping it’s that but this effect i can not get work. Sharing my config mate, rumble when detaching bombs or missiles works, same as the gun and sharp turning or stall effect. Help pls if u find some news if it can get work i mean that c strip effect…

A year later my FFB was gone again. Was blaming my recent Win10 update to 2004 version and planning to reinstall BMS all over again, but the solution turned out to be simple - change theater in the Alternative Launcher. Switched from Korea to Israel - bam, FFB is working! Switched back to Korea - now it had working FFB as well.
Spent half an hour prior to that trying rebooting PC, plugging- unplugging the USB cables, launching other sims with FFB (they were all working fine)… Nothing helped until I tried changing theaters. Hope this will help someone someday
