Cannot install 4.34 setup file is missing
-
Due to a technical issue I had to uninstall all software related to Falcon 4.
I’m now trying to reinstall and have run into the following problem (error) during install of 4.34:setup.cfg is missing
I have no idea what happened or how to resolve this. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Problem has been resolved. I was reading notes from other players who stated that I must first install version 4.34 BEFORE installing 4.35. Clearly that is not the case. I’m back up and running… so far.

Won’t hurt anything to have 4.34 AND 4.35 installed (I still do) - they are each standalone applications - but misinformation can be a pain in the neck and a waste of time. Glad you got it sorted! Best wishes and good luck!

Thanks for replying. YES, misinformation can be a pain and that is what kept me banging my head against the wall.
Cheers.

Persius, I’m receiving the same error message when trying to update from 4.35 to 4.35.1. How exactly did you resolve your problem? I am stumped. Thanks!

My problem was that I had 4.34 installed and then tried to install 4.35 over top of it and that was causing problems. The following fixed the problem.
1. I deleted 4.34 entirely from my computer and deleted the files.
2. I installed 4.35 and everything worked like a charm instantly. I only had to configure my controller through the bms config. page.Until you mentioned it I didn’t know that there is a 4.35.1 version. If I was to guess what to do, based on my experience I would uninstall 4.35 and do a clean install of 4.35.1 but then again I may be wrong. Logic suggests that you just install 4.35.1 overtop of 4.35.
That’s I have to share I’m afraid.
Good luck at your end. -

I may have to do the uninstall as you suggest. I know the update works and I did something to screw it up! ???
I’ll give it another go tomorrow. Sometimes stepping away is a good approach.
Thanks again!
