Solved Comms menu size on a 4K monitor
-
Hi all,
I’m struggling to know how to make the AI communications menu bigger. I was kinda thinking it was the ‘Communication menu - Windows DPI setting’ in Falcon BMS Config but it doesn’t appear to do anything? My eyes are simple not that great anymore
Any help would be much appreciated.Thank you
Thanks in advance.

It is still possible to revert to old menu. In your Falcon BMS.cfg look for the compatible change line. Should be similar to:
set g_sCompatibleChanges "all-C_CHANGE_DYNAMIC_SMART_SCALING"
or (if you have not applied the fixes in this post) :
set g_sCompatibleChanges "all-C_CHANGE_DYNAMIC_SMART_SCALING"
set it to:
set g_sCompatibleChanges "all-C_CHANGE_DYNAMIC_SMART_SCALING-C_COMM_MENU_AS_A_WINDOW"

I have the same problem. The 4.35 version of the fix doesn’t work with the new menu library code. It’s nice to be able to move the menu around in 3D mode, however.
Also, my keyboard is missing a “10” key for me to access the menu items such as “Take the lead”, or “Set Bingo”. Not sure how to access those last items!

Did you try the 0 (zero) key? I’m AFK, so can’t try myself.

From the technical manual:You can resize wondows [sic] by dragging one edge of the window or the blue
triangle at the bottom right corner. Depending on the type of the window
some options are available while others are not. E.g. you can resize the mini
HUD but it always stays square. On the other hand you can’t resize the comms menus as they change their size
automatically depending on the content.@jance the 0 key works for me. I agree it’s a little unintuitively labeled.
