EZBoards - Generate kneeboards (flights, comms, stpts, weather) from briefings

@MnMailman reading the thread just before your posts, it looks like it might be anti-virus kicking in, take a look, there are a couple of solutions mentioned.
Ok thanks. I thought I successfully bypassed any such but I’ll double check.
-
Anti-virus doesn’t appear to be the problem; I have both xbrief files in the EZ Boards install location.
However, doing some testing. EZ Boards works with BMS 4.36 for me, but not 4.35, i.e., if that helps. -
@MnMailman Yes, that’s it! You must use >=v8 for 4.36 and <v8 for 4.35.
I’m sorry but this is because they changed some whitespace on that line and I’m only doing a strict lazy comparison. -

@Logic Thanks ! Above and beyond help.

I was going to post that I did a comparison with MnMailman’s post and my latest Briefing.txt to say that I could see an extra space in MnMailman’s (before the

but then thought, “Nah, can’t be that”

Updated to 4.36 and got the 4.36 version of balkans and was having an issue with getting EZBoards to give me my briefing on my kneepad. Every time I ran the .bat I saw it going into the Korea terrdata Koreaobj folder.
Took a look at the .Bat file between what I used in 4.35 and 4.36 and saw a difference:
4.36 v9 version:
IF “%THEATER%”==“Korea KTO” (
SET THEATERPATH=%BASEDIR%\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj
) ELSE (
IF EXIST %BASEDIR%\Data\Add-On %THEATER%\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj\ (
SET THEATERPATH=%BASEDIR%\Data\Add-On %THEATER%\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj
ELSE (
SET THEATERPATH=%BASEDIR%\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj
)
)
4.35 v7 Version:
IF “%THEATER%”==“Korea KTO” (
SET THEATERPATH=%BASEDIR%\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj
) ELSE (
SET THEATERPATH=%BASEDIR%\Data\Add-On %THEATER%\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj
)Reverting that line to the V7 fixed the issue for me…but I only fly the Balkan and Korea Campaign so I’m not sure how it’s work for the others.

Thanks

Good morning.
Thx for this amazing tool.
I have an error running EZBoards 4.36 version with Baltic theater
Can you help me?
Thank you
-
@Skorp Baltic works for me.
There is something fishy on the line where it says “ELSE” no se reconoce …
Did you modify the batch file?
Maybe download latest version again? -
@Logic downloaded two times, but tomorrow I’m going to try again with a fresh installation then.
Thx
-
@Skorp Does it work with Korea KTO?
-
@Logic i’ ve had three tests…with the 9 versión.
Korea ok
Balkans, I see else error message too, but the programa copy the dds file in Korea fólder.
Báltico, the same error I’ ve told here above. -
@Skorp Hey, here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vDPOI7jy5VqqLGV5DsB0nV2hp0bC7svo/view?usp=sharing
I put another version of the BAT file for test.
Please download, rename so that you cut off the extension after .BAT and then replace the one in your Ezboards folder.
See if it helps, check in all the theaters. -
@Logic Good morning.
With the new bat there is no ESLE error, but only in Korea the dds is copied; in Balcans and Baltic the file is copied in Korea too.
I´ve edited the bat file and rem/set the lines you put:
REM /// Path to theater dds files. This might not work for every theater.
REM /// When in doubt, ask the theater author or the community.
REM THEATERPATH=%BASEDIR%\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj
REM /// Might try this alternative for theaters that come with their own dds files:
SET THEATERPATH=%BASEDIR%\Data\Add-On %THEATER%\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObjBalcans is Ok, but in Baltic I have the error :
TARGET=“S:\Falcon BMS 4.36\Data\Add-On Baltic\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj\7982.dds”
Target file doesn’t exist. Check theater. -
Well, I´ve made two BAT´s, one for Korea and the other for Balkans and Israel.
Any way to make other fo Baltic and Georgia? There is no KoreaObj directory for these theaters.
Regards
-
Some test with these curious results:
Case 1.- Start Korea KTO, print brief with the bat you´ve uploaded without edit. Perfect
Start Balkans, print brief with the bat you´ve uploaded (with other theaters edit). Brief bad printed in Korea folder
Start Baltic (or Georgia), print brief with Korea bat or Balkans modified bat (the same result), and I have this errorCase 2.- Start Balkans, print brief with Balkans bat and the result is perfect.
Start Baltic (or Georgia), print brief with Balkans or Korea bat ( same result), and I have this error -
@Skorp For theaters that don’t come with a KoreaObj folder, I would assume that it has to be put in the original Korea KoreaObj folder. But just guessing. You’ll have to sort it out with the theater developers I fear.

@Logic Ok, Logic.
Thank you very much for your help.
