Solved Returning player - cannot configure input devices
-
Hello - returning to BMS after some years away. I cannot configure my TM Warthog throttle and stick, and my rudder pedals wheel brakes seem like they are hard coded to roll and pitch! Every time I think I’ve configured, I hop in game and either the throttle or the stick isn’t reacting. My TM brake pedals are configured to roll and pitch no matter what I try, and that includes setting everything else to ‘keyboard’. I’ve searched the web, found a few tips here and there but none of them help resolve my issues.
Thanks,

@leinsters Just in case, wanted to toss this out there too… maybe redundant info, maybe not…
(numbers in picture below)
- Make sure your joystick is selected from the list
- (set your other axes under Advanced - as you already have)
- Make sure your desired keyfile is loaded
Setting the DeviceSorting.txt file to “Read Only” was always a tip to help prevent devices from switching order on us, once set the first time. Recently some folks have issues with a “read only” file not being properly effective, but not all of us have that issue, so it’s still a valid tip to keep that file from changing between BMS sessions.

@leinsters use Notepad to open your DeviceSorting.txt file, and ensure your stick is the top line.
Throttle second… Pedals third.
Or Alt Launcher may sort this out for you automatically.

I’d throw another vote in for the alt launcher. Solved all of my binding woes.

@VIPER-0 Thank you so much!
