UI scale and position with Surround/Eyefinity
-
Hi There !
I’m searching for 3 days on forum and manual a solution to my problem, nothing found thus far.
So i’m working with tripple screens with Nvidia Surround. So these monitors are considered as just one screen (5040x1050) in Windows settings and BMS.
In 3D, no problem since 432. Work really nice
i just lost my mouse with 437, and added this line : set g_sPriorityFixes “all-PFIX_4K_TEXT_AND_CURSOR_USER_DEFINE_AND_APPLY_DPI”With 436, i just sets Falcon windowed, position the UI on my right screen, then sets it again in borderless, then the UI was “glued” on my right screen. That was very convenient to keep an eye on discord/OBS/briefing paper/WDP on my left screen and center screen.
But with 437, that’s not the same cup of tea anymore…
The UI window take the 3 screen (left and right are black).
I tried to sets it to windowed (but playing 3D windowed, NO THANKS anyway), same thing. I can move the window, a then when i sets it again to borderless, the UI don’t save the position and go back to take all the display. Anyway, i still got one screen in black window on it.
Also, i cannot re-size the window…I tried to sets the old UI : same result.
"set g_nInternalUIResolutionMode 0 "
0 = XGASaw this in BMS User Manual (page 26) and the changelog says more :
“”"- Added a new UI scaling option: g_nScaleUIMode- 0 : Disables and works as before
- 1 : Enables UI scaling with Point (pixelated) filtering
- 2 : Enables UI scaling with Linear (smooth) filtering - DEFAULT
- Added a trigger between old and New UI: g_nInternalUIResolutionMode (set to 0 for old UI)“”"
But i don’t get how it work exactly. I tried some things… (and see, i RTFM and more already…)
So here is my question : is there anyway to scale the UI properly and sets position value to it (borderless mode) ?Actually, the resolution of each screen are 1680x1050 (22"), but would have the same problem with Full HD resolution, isn’t it ? please, don’t say that i need to buy 3 new scree ;')
Thanks a lot.

So, i finally managed to get the “scale” option works.
Here si the line to add :set g_nScaleUIMode 0
here is the result :
So the UI is too large and too high, that’s normal because i use 1680x1050 resolution screens…
So i can have the upper part OR the bottom parts of the UI but not both ^^’I think with my configuration, i need to sets the “old scale” option, AND the old UI… no choice.
set g_nScaleUIMode 0
set g_nInternalUIResolutionMode 0Hope it helped other pilots with triple screen anyway.

@Fullnegi Hi ran into same problem. Main screen fullsize should be the size minus bezel sizes used in ati settings. Old style UI for me until this got solved somehow

Yep, that’s because i’m not in Full HD and new UI attempt to display at FullHD Resolution. So need to make a choice… New UI but not sure to see everything (like in the last picture) or Old Ui…
As you said, the best would be that the resolution of UI takes the resolution the screen offer OR user wants.
But i’m assuming it’s even more work, cause you need to make an UI for each resolution… ?
