Hey guys, I installed BMS 4.37. I had some issues at start but it got smooth. Now again I was having this Launcher Dragging my pc again. So I uninstalled and then reinstalled. Now I am having discoloration on my Cockpit when clicking. And the Switch for the Lights Button Disappears when I click on it. I got 2 in a Row Crash to Desktop. Anything I am doing wrong? Is there a log where I can post to see my errors if any?
-
@sparrowGR crash logs would be in ‘C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Logs’ but it sounds like maybe you’ve got some hardware or other (OS) performance or reliability problems going on…
What is your OS? CPU and GPU? RAM?

@airtex2019
This is my PC
Windows 10 Pro
Asus Rog Strix X-570 E-Gaming
AMD 3900 X All Core OC 4.4 GHz 1/295V
Asus Rog 3070 Ti OC 8 GB
PSU 850 W Thermaltake
Trident- G.Skill 64 GB Ram
Samsung 980 Pro M.2 NvMe 2 TB (Software installed on this one which is also main for Windows)
Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB for Projects
Samsung 2 X 850 EVO SSD for fast storage.
Seagate Barracuda 4TB X 2 for Storage
Seagate Barracuda 3TB for Storage
DVD-R for CD’s and DVD’sI also have a weird thing going on when taking off. My Joystick pull up does not respond. Then it goes around 220 Knots and kind of lifts off and then it begins to respond. In the Setup it shows working …
Should I post crash log here? -
@sparrowGR I hesitate to say it, but all these things sound like you’re not in a F-16
most other jets don’t have the same advanced flight-model physics … one quirk/bug of their simplified fm is they “stick” to runway until about 220 kts
when in doubt hit [9] for external cam view
hit [3] to return to 3d pit

@airtex2019 Indeed, its the training mission Tactical Engagement first one. It is 4 F5s. And that is what it actually says in the training mission. The original Falcon 4 mission worked fine. But these seem to be made by 3rd party. Not that they are bad but if I cannot change to F16 on training, even though inside the cockpit is an F-16 may be the problem. But it could be the config of the HOTAS. It never seems to remember my settings and have to load them every time. And from the Configuration tool on the Launcher, the POV switch does not respond in the game, even though the Setup recognizes the function as POV1, POV2, etc. After 3 reinstallations, I was able to fly the mission. Do you know where I can find the Maps of the Airports? When I landed, I requested a Taxi back, and I was given Echo Golf 01, but there are no Numbers and Symbols at the Hangars. I waited for my wingmen to park to see where they would go and that is how I found my space. If we are playing the game completely, then it should be that way. Perhaps some updates will apply symbols on the Hangars . The Taxi had the G but again no sign of E or 01. That is why I am asking for maps of airports so I can begin to utilize them properly.
-
@sparrowGR why would they not allow you to learn to start the F-16, in an F-16? Click the training flight and not one of the BARCAPs. In your docs folder, you will find the airport charts. Search for you airport. You will find the overview and a list of the parking spots. Good luck, Falcon Brother

@sparrowGR CLICK HERE! And verify your pilot name and expected aircraft type.
Don’t worry you are far from the first to be confused by this. I think I once submitted a bug report about fuel gauge or something broken, when I was taxiing in a B-1B… they should make the default cockpit textures bright orange or a label that says “NOT F-16” on the front panel, or something.
Of the various other aircraft in BMS, I think only F-18, AV-8B, A-10 (and now as of 4.37) the F-15 have advanced flight models. (Maybe also Su-33? I forget.) The rest will feel like a train stuck on rails, as you taxi and takeoff.
Also worth noting: even AI wingmen in F-16s will have simplified fm physics. So, eg. if you follow them in external camera view while they’re landing… you can really see the difference.
-
@sparrowGR I also generally recommend people start with TR#3 … no other flights, less possibility of confusion.
And it starts in-air … so you don’t have to struggle with 30 min of ramp-start process, at a time when you’re still trying to get your hotas buttons mapped and graphics settings tweaked…
And hey, there’s no point learning to take off if you haven’t learned how to land, right?
-
@airtex2019 Man I appreciate your help so far. I really like the start up and I have got that pretty quick so far. As for Landing, I had 497 hours of flight per my logbook before I quit. I already landed the plane 1 bumpy the first time, but after that, I land it pretty smooth with visual approach using the AOA only and HUD Bracket. I haven’t done the ILS yet. There are too many active buttons and switches in the cockpit that I need some time to familiarize the process. And many training manuals are not as easy as some people say. There were some references that were not as they say…I was trying to jettison the tank before I land, but that wasn’t working anyway, even with the emergency Jettison. Anyway, hope to fly with you one day when I am ready…The HOTAS is pretty stubborn and the Stick isn’t as I remember. Some people linked me to some good setups, but they didn’t work with mine. X52 Pro Logitech.
Thanks again -
@Quasi_Stellar Thanks for that, trying to get things as accurate as possible. It was the training I am confirming. On next mission training so far they are all F-16
-
@sparrowGR X52 Pro has been very problematic for folks, especially with Win11 … apparently the Logitech/Saitek software won’t install or won’t run properly or something.
Just a friendly heads up… avoid Win11 upgrade, if you haven’t already.
-
@airtex2019 Oh I wont go to Windows 11 until Windows 10 is not supported…maybe by then we will have better performance on the Windows 11 and then transition.
