EZBoards - Generate kneeboards (flights, comms, stpts, weather) from briefings
-
@kilux Hi,
you’re probably missing the .NET Core runtime.
Try installing it from here:
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-3.1.32-windows-x64-installer -
@Logic I am having the same problem as kilux, and have already tried installing the .NET Core runtime. Is there something else I could try to fix it?
-
@Jack6366 Hmm, I’m at a loss there.
Try type Windows-R, type “cmd” (enter) and then “dotnet --list-runtimes” (enter).
What does it say? -
@Logic
That worked! Thanks! I only installed the aspnetcore runtime from the instructions it seems -
@Logic This is what it says.
Microsoft.NETCore.App 3.1.32 [C:\Program Files\dotnet\shared\Microsoft.NETCore.App]
-
@Jack6366 Yes, that seems ok. Do you have exactly the same error message as kilux reported?
-
@Logic I do.
-
@Jack6366 I’m sorry, then I have no idea what’s wrong in your case.
-
@Viktor It looks like you might have EZBoards under Program Files since it does not allow you to write a file.
If that is the case, you could consider placing it someplace else.
Or, if that is the case and you want it there, you would probably need to run EZBoards as Administrator
-
Hi @Logic I really love EZBoards for its simplicity - thank you very much for this great tool!
Question: have you thought about including the possibility to add custom pages, e.g. by specifying an import directory containing PNG files, that simply get added as additional kneeboard pages next to the ones created by EZBoards itself.
For example, this would provide an easy way to import custom checklists into BMS.Thanks!
EDIT:
Okay, sorry - disregard my feature-request. I just did some digging and I understand now that each page index has its own texture file / EZBoards only touches the first pages. I.e. one can replace all other pages simply via editing the corresponding dds files or via WDP… -
Guys, for those of you wanting to get two different images for the left (briefing-left.png) and right (briefing-right.png) pages of the board, for example for import to OpenKneeboards, you might want to add these lines to EZBOARD.BAT, between Step 2 and Step 3.
It will be included (but commented out) in a subsequent update.REM /// Step 2B: Render the left and right pages REM /// to a different png file, e.g. for use with OpenKneeboards. bin\wkhtmltoimage.exe --width 1024 --height 1554 --disable-smart-width --enable-local-file-access briefing.html briefing-left.png IF %ERRORLEVEL% NEQ 0 GOTO ERROR bin\wkhtmltoimage.exe --width 2048 --height 1554 --crop-w 1024 --crop-x 1024 --disable-smart-width --enable-local-file-access briefing.html briefing-right.png IF %ERRORLEVEL% NEQ 0 GOTO ERROR

@Logic
Hi Logic, I wonder if you’d mine letting me know where you extracted the highlighted data from, I can’t find it any where. -
@linknet It’s not extracted, but constant.
The 11 etc are the datalink ship positions according to flight and ship number.
The yardstick channels are the recommended settings from the documentation, but nobody is required to follow them. -

@Logic What directory do I find the separated briefing-left.png and briefing-right.png?
-
@jc1 Same as the combined one, in the directory where you put EZBoards.
-
@Logic Thanks a lot.

Good morning
