7. If you don’t like my key assignments it’s easy to change them to your way.
a) Simply find the callback in the jc1-DX128.key file above the section labeled “Stick and Throttle DX keys”.
b) Make sure the callback doesn’t have 0XFFFFFFFF within the line.
c) Find the BMS DX number below the “Stick and Throttle DX keys” section where you want to replace a callback.
d) Make sure you’re not duplicating an existing callback, unless that’s what you want.
e) Copy and replace the callback in the section below the section “Stick and Throttle DX keys” at the BMS DX number you want to replace. -

Version 4.36.01 June 15, 2022
The main reasons for this update are to provide the ability to: 1) Light up the throttle backlight and LEDs for AVTR acmi and 2) give the option to use 3rd party video recorder simultaneously with AVTR acmi. If a 3rd party video recorder is used the hotkey to start and stop the video should be F9 in the 3rd party video setup.
AVTR will be cycled with Coolie Switch Left (CSL). AVTR: RECORD will be cycled first and LED1 will light up. TG2 or S2(Pickle) will produce 30 second acmi but no video. Next AVTR: MARK EVENT will be cycled and all 5 LEDs will light up. This will produce a continuous acmi and simultaneously a 3rd party screen video. If 3rd party video is not being used then only acmi will be recorded. Here is a video of a PopUp attack with acmi.

Version 4.37.0 - December 30, 2022
For those using Thrustmaster Warthog TARGET software, the reason for this update is to make changes to accommodate the new keyfile functions in BMS 4.37.0. I also made changes to some stick and throttle buttons and switches for personal preference based on more experience with the gear.

Hi jc1,
We had a little exchange back in 2016 already on your profile. I took a longer break with BMS but would like to restart now with the VR 4.37 of BMS. It took a while to feel somehow comfortable with the BMS key files again. I saw the approach of sedanio to extent with TARGET the number of DX buttons. Known that BMS extended the number of DX buttons as well I was thrilled that you combined both for BMS. Awesome work by both of you!!!
Quick question: I struggle with the DX106+ part in your tmc file. How does this work with the axis? I could not find any reference to DX button in the bms key file for e.g. DX106, DX107 or DX108:
//DX106+
MapAxis (&Throttle, SCX, DX_XROT_AXIS, AXIS_NORMAL, MAP_ABSOLUTE);
SetSCurve (&Throttle, SCX, 0, 5, 0, 5, 0);
KeyAxis (&Throttle, SCX, 0, AXMAP1(LIST(0,1,99,100), PULSE+DX106, PULSE+DX107, PULSE+DX108));
Again thx much for your work!
Best flex -
@desmoflex hey flex. There are no references in the key file to the axis. The axis are mapped in the tmc file.

@jc1
Thx for your swift feedback. But if there is no reference to DX button like DX106 in the key file what is the action of a PULSE+DX106 in the KexAxis in TARGET? I am still trying to get used to it so sorry for this question…. -
@desmoflex DX buttons are defined in the tmh file. The key file assigns callbacks and you won’t find axis callbacks in the key file. The axis are mapped in the tmc file.
-
@jc1 this is clear to me. What is the intended function for DX 106, DX107 and DX108 in BMS? I could see in TARGET that they occur when you move the slider along the axis. Double checked the TARGET docs as well. For what action will they be used? I could not see that they are mapped to any callback. Thx for your patience.
-
@desmoflex This slews the cursor enable switch. As I mentioned earlier there won’t be callback for this in the key file.

@jc1 Version 4.37.1 - January 28, 2023
For those using Thrustmaster Warthog TARGET software, the reason for this update is to make changes to accommodate the new Keyfile updates in BMS 4.37.1.
For personal preference, I also made changes on the throttle to 2 buttons and 1 switch.
Alternative Gear Set and Reset is on the throttle APU switch.
Smoke toggle is on shifted Landing Gear.
Advance Mode Switch in on shifted Parking Brake.The following files have changed:

@jc1 Version 4.37.1.1 - February 4, 2023
For those using Thrustmaster Warthog TARGET software, the reason for this update is:
When doing Training TR_BMS_08_TFR I discovered I needed the BMS paddle switch for the RALT SWIM Test. I already use the joystick paddle switch for shifting and the pinky for Left/Right OSB3. I needed another binding for the paddle switch. So, I had to change jc-DX128.key DX30, which is Coolie Switch UP (CSU), from TrackIR Center to the KeyFile callback APOverride, which is the BMS designation for Paddle Switch. An adjustment to TrackIR is required. TrackIR Center in the TIR software should be F12.The results of these changes are:
AutoPilot Override is on Coolie Switch Up.
TrackIR Center is a quick press of the joystick paddle switch.
Shifting is still on the joystick paddle switch with long press.The following files have changed:
