Unsolved BMS 4.37.2 Crash on startup
-
Logs
Please help me. I dont know how can i resolve this problem. -
@Mestefe I have the same problem! Please check if your antivirus deletes the FalconBMS. exe file… I’m trying to figure myself… It’s so frustrating!
-
@Mestefe It is the antivirus! ESET identifies the FalconBMS.exe as a “trojan” and quarantines it… Lame!
-
@FireWind (this is not your same missing-exe problem … OP’s exe clearly exists – started up and recorded dumpfile logs when it crashed on startup)
-
@Mestefe what OS is this … and what graphics card do you have?
also audio … verify you have a working audio device-path (with headphones or speakers plugged in and turned on)
but … I haven’t seen this exact crash site before. BMS devs may have to take a look.

@FireWind I just found this problem too. ESET is doing it!
-
@tonpilot Norton Utilities will sometime do that, just set an exclusion in your anti-virus software. It should ignore it, or restore the items quarantined.

Intel Core i3-1115G4 Processor with Intel UHD Graphics for 11th Gen Intel Processors, 4GB RAMThis is a laptop w/ integrated graphics, and just 4GB of RAM?
I do not think this will be capable of starting BMS. Even folks with 8GB laptops have had trouble.
Official hw requirements are here:
https://wiki.falcon-bms.com/en/start-with-falcon-bms/install-update(4GB RAM + DX11 GPU with at least 2GB RAM)
In practice, if you want to fly BMS on a laptop without dedicated GPU… it can work, but you will probably need 16GB of RAM – because Windows will reserve up to half of system RAM for graphics textures.
I think 8GB maybe possible, if you switch to low-rez textures, low-rez clouds, turn off/down all graphics options. No open web browsers or other apps… turn off background processes… etc. Haven’t tested that in a while. In 2023, I consider 16GB bare minimum for gaming PC.
