Unsolved Falcon BMS 4.3.7 / Wine / MacOS Big Sur
-
Hi, installed and updated Falcon BMS 4.3.7 on Wineskin Winery MacOS Big Sur using the engine WS11WineCS64Bit21.2.0-1 relatively effortlessly, but the game is crashing after the preload splash screen with the logos. Wondering if anyone has any experience with getting this to work? The Wineskin log is as follows if that is helpful. Thanks!

@craab
If you have Big Sur you have intel inside your Mac?
You would have a better experience with FPS if you use Bootcamp to partition the drive, install Windows 10 (buy it OEM), and then install BMS. Boot from Windows.
I tested this 10 years ago so this is old knowledge. My understanding is that emulation or running windows in an emulator app off of a windows partition is still slower than booting into Windows.
If you know all this already, my apologies. Have fun with Wine! -
Tried out the Crossover trial and was able to get up and running. Seems to be a more straightforward install process. You have to manually download and install some directx stuff and visual c++ stuff but other than that seems to work. I don’t have a stick yet, probably will just get a used logitech extreme for $15 to try this out. Wondering if there are any pre-exisiting keyboard only config files I could load up while waiting on a stick?
