Solved [4.37.3] Inverted Throttle Issue
-
I have a STECS throttle and there seems to be an issue when you need to invert the axis. After updating to U3 the throttle was behaving strangely in-game, afterburner would engage around 50% and when decreasing throttle at some point it would actually start to increase in-game. It seems like it’s an issue with needing to invert the axis in the BMS launcher, but the AB/idle detents don’t invert as well. The workaround is either to invert the axis in the throttle software so there is no need to invert in the launcher, or to set the AB detent as the idle detent and vice versa.

I have prepared a daily build of AL with about 12 bugfixes post U3… including now, better support for single- and dual-throttle devices with reverse-direction axes.
Invite open to everyone, but especially Virpil throttle users – please send me a DM if interested in helping alpha-test it!
I see your prerelease there on GitHub - I’ll download it and give it a try tomorrow as I’m using a VIRPIL CM3 throttle.
Excuse the spam. @airtex2019 this is looking good to me. Image is a bit over-exposed because of auto-HDR but hopefully you can see the idle/ab detents there. No manual changes were applied in-game, I just booted straight from the Alt Launcher.

@snipe292 for VKB, their firmware-config tool is super powerful, and you can re-define the axis to be right-way-up
for Virpil and others, we’re still working on a better fix (better than re-configuring the detents every time you start BMS)
ps how do you like the STECS throttle? I’m about to order…

Exactly after 2 hours I was able to help a wing colleague through remote assistance, because he is using the throttle as a throttle.
Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant
(Don’t ask me why he uses this abomination to fly the falcon.)in idle in the peripheral the throttle was at half in 3d and it only move from half to the after burner, in the AL configuration it was marked as inverted so that it was in the direction of the real movement, power forward, then of hours uninstalling changing files, restarting the calibrations, I detected that in the U2 it ran perfectly so I got involved in the U3 and I realized that without checking the inverted option in the AL it moved in the perfect path but it is inverted to the movement real of the peripheral, so I solved the problem by leaving the throttel axis unchecked in the AL
and marked inverted in the setup/controls/advanced/flight controls
With that configuration the pilot was able to join our wing’s flights again.
greetings.

@ColinM9991 excellent news, thanks for helping test!
the dual-throttle-axes-using-analog-idle-cutoff and reverse-direction, is by far the most complex case.
be advised, there may yet be some bugs or misalignments between AL and BMS… for that particular case.
if you launch from AL everything should be ok but if you then go into BMS 2d Setup/Controllers page, and change anything, all bets are off
