Unsolved New Controller Support (Broken? It Could Be Me)
-
Hi IDK If Its Me Or not but the new Xinput aka “GamePad Support”
Made The Game Unplayable For me A have configured it just like i always do and when a press any buttons it defaults back to what the game wants not what i have seted -
Also If Anyone Knows How To Turn Off The New Gamepad Feature Would Love To Know
-
@Senjy-Krazansky
set g_bUseXInput 0
in your cfg file(probably need to add an easy-button for this, on the Launcher screen)
-
Greetings. Is it possible to disable view control from the right stick when xinput is enabled?
-
set g_bUseXInput 0
Will do the magic for you guys.
Add to the user config
Edit: airtex already wrote oops -
@tiag this will disable xinput completely. But the functionality is convenient for me. I would like to disable/override only one stick. And leave the rest as with activated xinput 1

Haven’t tested much, but I believe if you explicitly map those thumb axes to some function, that will override xInput-lookaround… then mouselook and/or pov-hat will become the default look-around mechanism.
Not sure what happens if eg. you have TrackIR or OpenTrack running… which mode wins.
Currently, I don’t think there’s much in the way of explicit cfg to turn on/off the various aspects of xInput… it’s either all or nothing, unless you map the axes/buttons explicitly.
- right-thumb pov
- the bumper-shift layers, with on-screen help text
- the innovative way the triggers control throttle, with on-screen feedback
I’ll fwd this feedback to the dev team. I think it’s fair to say this is early in development, so feedback on it is highly valued!

Thanks for the detailed answer. I tried assigning rdr cursor to the right stick. But at the same time both cursor control and view control work.

@erebur yes, I see that now too.
OpenTrack may be only hope, to disable right-thumb pov… (I haven’t tried)
