Solved Joystick mapping, option to set up latching for dogfight/MRM/cancel missing
-
Prior to U3, there was a button in the keymapping page on the loader to toggle the behavior of the mode switch for dogfight/cancel/mrm modes. I can’t find it now, it seems to have been removed. This latching is making my Saitek X52 no longer work and I I can’t use functions like locking using the HMCS because the aircraft keeps thinking I am mode switching. Is this feature supposed to be there?

@mustangs6551
set g_bHotasDgftSelfCancel 0
or1
in your “Falcon BMS User.cfg” file -
@airtex2019 I tried that option last night. The behavior is still off, when I TMS up in DF mode, the circle to grab a target dissapears.
-
@mustangs6551 how does TMS-up kick you out of DGFT mode? I don’t understand
-
@airtex2019 if Im trying to lock on with the HMCS in dogfight mode, TMS up will display that lock on circle for a flicker into view and then it dissapears. I think dogfight mode is constantly cycling on off, but I cant tell. Locing on a target to the front of the aircraft is also not working.

@mustangs6551 seems like something else going wrong, but I can’t tell. I recommend set dgft self-cancel off, and use the D and C keys … just to try narrow down the problem
-
@airtex2019 ok I just tried with the joystick commands removed and it’s still doing it. I’m stumped on this.

@mustangs6551 next step from my pov… would be to run VKB JoyTester to make sure my TMS buttons were working properly
even Windows joy.cpl might suffice to tell

@airtex2019 joystick seems to run fine. This started after the update, but I tested to be sure

@airtex2019 I’ve solved it partically. Cursor slew was not canceling. I’ve got a home built 2 axis joystick that I used on top of the x52 for the radar cursor. I found if I centered the cursor just right I got it working again. It had a medium deadzone, which I’ve increased to large, see if that fixes it.

@mustangs6551 definitely go through the Joy.cpl recalibration/recentering flow
hmm… does the [alt+C][J] key combo apply recentering for the X/Y cursor axes, or just primary flight pitch/roll axes? tbh I’m not sure… will look
