Major problem with calibration FSSB R3 Warthog stick
-
Suddenly, while starting up my pc, the sensor warnings of my Warthog stick goes berserk: red flashing light and alert signal. Apparently my stick is blocked in full left roll. I get it centered again by using the recalibration in Windows, but it jumps back to left roll whenever I touch the stick. And in pit I’m in an uncontrolable left roll. Rebooting doesn’t fix it nor does using a different usb port.
Lately I’ve been having some centering probem with my stick and had to use Windows calibration to fix it. But apparently using the calibration via Windows wasn’t a good idea. Didn’t know it could FUBAR the stick. (It did that with the Cougar stick, so I assume it does that with the Warthog stick too) I used the Windows calibration because my Realsim device tool never detected my stick before. However, in the meantime I’ve found a way for it to detect my stick.
So, now I’m looking for a way to clean the registry of the Windows callibration. Hoping that by doing so, my original problem will be solved.
Anyone an idea?

Find your joystick in USB game controllers. Go to properties of the joystick And in there there should be a calibration tab and you should be able to clear that data it is not recommended to use windows calibration for the FSSB joystick. You could also try reloading the firmware for your joystick

@Doc0301 You can also press the pinky button and paddle switch and then the first trigger detent and see if that helps.

Already reloaded the fimware to no avail. Thx anyway

When I press Pinky + paddle switch together the sensor warnings stop, but immediately when I release them it continues as before. Never tried those 3 together, though. Thx for the tip. I’ll keep you informed.
PS: Also noticed that when I press first/second detent the roll jumps horizontally from it’s current full left roll position 2 squares to the right (Now I understand why lately I also had some trouble hitting my targets during dogfight!)

Tried what you said (pinky+padddle +trigger1) saw the green lights and beeping (as if during recentering), but immediately returned to warning flashing and beeping.
The NPA (Neutral Position Adjustment ) doesn’t work and I don’t understand why not. -
@Doc0301 reach out to Real Sim and see what they say. I have issues from time to time and usually that’s what helps me

Wildo, but they don’t seem keen on replying

@Doc0301 it might be a little bit. I know when I have reached out it has taken a couple of days.
