Unsolved Weird USB and TMS/CMS behaviour
-
Hi
Certain switches are now intermittently stopped being recognised in game (3D) - most notably TMS UP and CMS UP (just 2 very important) of my joystick. Not only locking impossible (that could be just pilot error) but can’t switch boresight mode on HMCS either. Chaff is not working. Replugging the stick in flight solves the issue. Similarly my right panel (an USB control device) needs replugging every time I get into 3D to be functional.
Interestingly, in BMS UI Setup/Controllers they work fine even without replugging. Checked with Windows game controller setup/calibration - they have no issue. It only occurs in BMS and in 3D.
I have BMS 4.37.3.2
This behaviour has been there since Hotfix 2, did not experience before.
Could be just coincidence.Thanks for giving idea what to do.

@Reptile71 what version of Windows?
how many USB devices would you say you have… are there any hubs, powered or unpowered, or is everything directly connected
if you check your motherboard manual, it might indicate which USB ports on front/back are powered by various controller-chipsets…
maybe try plugging your critical hotas stuff into a USB port backed by the chipset on the motherboard, vs the CPU … or vice versa
(sry no idea just some random tips to try)
