@hiuuz ONE DAY ? … 3 4 weeks

Maybe the floodlight colour could be changed from green to that warm white someday
TBH, I’m not sure which way would be more accurate. Post-NVG, the green lights were for sure a thing. I have seen some videos of recent jets with the old white bulbous lenses for the storm floods suggesting that they could still be used. At the same time, if the front seat is like the E model, there are two sets of flood lights in the front, so maybe they have one NVG and one not. For me, that’s just speculation though as I don’t have any recent C/D model time. The last time I sat in the seat of one was probably 2006, so on the verge of two decades now.
-
@Rainmaker thanks… so we need to wait and investigate before make any changes…
-
But again, there is another set of lights aft of that, that could very well be NVG friendly.
-
@Rainmaker this is a very old pit. F-15A with old stores panel.
Need a pic of a modern F-15C. -

-
@Rainmaker Can you provide a picture of modern USAF F-15C pit at night?
I can show you dozen of different pits of F-16s at night…colors will change by panel, air force and how old the block is. There is no “standard” for the F-16. So, my guess, there is no standard for the F-15.

I’m trying to tell you there is very much a standard to F-15s, lol. I played with them for a number of years IRL.
The team can do whatever. I’m just giving feedback. I’m not going to fight with people over it.
-
I dont understand the “LOL” here, TBH. Trying to figure out the legitimacy of the information. If you have “played with them for a number of years IRL”, can you please provide a picture of a F-15C pit? I am just curious.

As you can see, the caution/warning panel lighting is yellow vs the red, etc
I see that the caution lights panel (it is not called warning panel) should be more yellowish indeed. Thanks.
Warning lights over the rest of the pit should be red as per RL source.
What else should be modified? -
Honestly don’t know. Have not flown it. Have only looked at videos/screenshots. The caution panel is what really stands out. For NVG reasons, some models like the E have converted to NVG compatible lighting, but certainly not red. Unknown about the C, but from the videos I have seen, They appear to still be yellow. Not red for sure.
I just posted the initial screenshot as a ref photo for what the original ‘standard’ would have been.

"£$%&&/((=)(=)/(&/%/&!%$“£”&/(

definitely they are not yellow…
here’s how to waste precious time
-
@Rainmaker
I can live with the green, I’m just like the old school look of that warm white lightsIt’s interesting how they overthought the interior lighting, we have separate left and right consol and three separate for instruments. At least for me it is segmented to too many parts. One for consol one for instruments should enough
-
“Warning/caution/advisory lights provide visual
indication of normal aircraft operation and
malfunction. Warning lights are red and are located at
or near top of instrument panel. Lit warning lights
indicate malfunctions that require immediate
corrective action. Caution lights are yellow, and when
lit indicate a malfunction requiring attention but not
immediate action. Advisory lights are aviation green
or white, and indicate safe or normal conditions.”More specifically, it’s known as aviation yellow. Literally follows a standard. That’s straight from the books. Do whatever you want. Again, not gonna expend energy arguing with folks. See what you want to see. Don’t really care that much TBH. Was going to help…not any longer.

@Rainmaker are you sure we talking the same version of f-15C ?
the model that I replicated in BMS is the IAF’s F-15C Eagle, and from the few informations I’ve found a significant difference (for 3d modeling) is between the structures of the HUD projector… I researched even more, and found out that we are both right… the US F15A/C has yellow warning lights, ok… The Isrealian F-15C was built strictly as an air superiority fighter, but the IAF’s created an extreme capable fighter bomber version, which the US dubbed the F15E Strike Eagle when they followed suite… … in the USAF F15E strike eagle, warning lights are amber, so it is very likely that they are the same as those inplemented in the Israeli model… but I have not been able to find reliable sources… so we can accept them as amber (but not red) lights for sure
IAF F15C armament: (NOTE: we still need to implemented this aspect in BMS)
Armament: One M61A1 20mm six barrel cannon, with up to 4 AIM-7 Sparrow and 4 AIM-9 Sidewinder / Python 3/4 air-to-air missiles, or 8 AMRAAMs. Five weapon stations for up to 10705kg of bombs, rockets and air-to-surface missiles. -
The Strike Eagles lights are the same. They are aviation yellow, which is an off-shade that makes them a darker yellow in color. They use the same light components across the board as the C. When you see the reddish color mixed in, that is due to aging of the lens cover. The lights are also on a variable transformer, which means the coil doesn’t glow as brightly if the lights are either in a ‘dim’ mode setting, turned down from full bright, or both.

@Rainmaker please Rainmaker… try to read an F15E Strike Eagle’s manual before…

I worked the E model for almost 20 years. You think I need a manual to tell me these things? Again, this is why I’m done here. I tried to offer, but I’m not putting forth any more effort to justify things. I’m out. Keep it incorrect if you like.

HEY… don’t take it the wrong way…I thanked you for that…but you have to understand that for me it was essential to document myself by buying flight manuals…and that’s where I found a lot of information on how to build the cockpit. Don’t be offended, I respect the work you have done, for sure !!!
But you try to understand that it is not easy to please everyone … everyone has their own information to share, as you did …and also within the BMS team
Thank you again, and sorry if I offended you in any way, it was not my intention
