Unsolved Single ship Awacs flight destroyed - not removed from squadron stores
-
@Rasetti to be really honest, not unlikely.
The Resupply/Refuel/Replacement phase takes place 2 times per hour. And in that period between your TOT and the campaign snapshot at least one RRR-phase took place. What does not match here is the Total Losses in MC…can you take a look inside the campaign for this save if the same appear for this squadron?
About the pilot, if he ejected and survived (no losses), it appears immediately on the roster. There is no delay in BMS yet.

@tiag
I’m not sure about what I should be looking at when you say “can you take a look inside the campaign for this save if the same appear for this squadron?” In the screenshots I posted, it shows the 3062nd squardron having 2 A-50 in both MC and in the Falcon UI.
Also, the pilot shows as KIA, so wouldn’t that rule out the possibility of “ejected and survived”?
I’m not too familiar with the campaing inner workings, so I guess I’m more asking than affirming anything -
@Rasetti sorry, I missed the flag the pilot was killed.
Look at the squadron info pleaseand make a screenshot please.
-
@tiag There you go!
Now, isn’t it weird that an AWACS squadron has stationary, A-G and A-A kills? That’s definetly not the same as in MC.
And something also weird: While at it I checked all blue and red squadrons, most of them I know that I least got a few more frames over the course of the campaign (I know this because I frag all blue missions myself, except BARCAP, RECON and CAS), and they all show as “Last Resupply = 0”. I could also post the screenshots in necessary.
The only difference is that blue has 06:00Z as next resupply time, and red 00:00Z, like the AWACS squadron.The only things a can think of that are a bit unique in this campaing are:
- All red power plants, CCC and radar stations have been destroyed.
- DPRK has no planes on the air, as all their airbases with squadrons are at 0%.
-
@Rasetti The AG and AA kills are yours in this campaign…you joined the squad.
What do you mean more “frames”? More airframes?
Did you edit the campaign file via MC in anyway?Can you please send me your save file?

Oops, good point
What do you mean more “frames”? More airframes?
Yes, more airframes.
Did you edit the campaign file via MC in anyway?
Not that I can recall, but I can’t guarantee it 100%. I’ve started it a few weeks ago and I play it from time to time.
Can you please send me your save file?
Link to the .cam file is in the first post, do you need any other files?
Thanks for looking into this!

@tiag I did a small experiment, because the resupply issue got me thinking, when you said that resupply phase takes place twice per hour.
I started a new Rolling Fire campaign. I didn’t touch any setting, PAK, mission type, just started it and let the clock run.First, I stopped it at around 05:00z.
On the red side, some squadrons show it’s next resupply at 06:00z, and some still show 03:00z (seems like the ones that had no losses), but NO squadron got any additional airframe.
Then, I left it run past 06:00z.
Again, some squadrons show the next tick as 09:00z, and the ones with no losses still show 03:00z. And still NO new airframes were added to any squadron.Just a couple of examples:
Interestingly, all Blue side squadrons show as 00:00z, also with no new airframes.
Example:
Here is the link to this new experimental campaign: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZLgvvV9unVp4994rc_hE0SSzfM-fzX4A/view?usp=drive_link
This seems consistent to the campaign I posted in the OP. It looks like airframe resupply is not taking place at all? As I mentioned, I had the feeling that, in the OP campaign, I did get a few more airframes, but maybe I was wrong, and the fact is that every single squadron shows as Last Resupply = 0, Plus, looking closely, the number of aircrafts left feels too low.

@Rasetti
ok…being honest up front: I cant tell you in detail how the campaign works (by contract).
Let me just say in general terms. The RRR phase runs two times per hour. Resupply is not the same as replacement. If an unit will get replacement depends on the following factors:- replacement available at all?
- is it time for replacement (“period”): unit type, unit role, action type, challenge factor
- when was the last time an unit got a replacement?
- Who is in more need? ground units or air units?<- factor
- several variables in the aii file.
-…
Just some scenarios: If the ground forces are in a very bad shape and require much more replacements, they will get a larger share.
If you destroyed all power plants, correct? Then there is no replacement available. No production, no replacements. I hope that satisfies your curiosity, sorry I cant tell you in detail all algorithms, -
@tiag No worries, I completely understand that you can’t give me more details.
-
@Rasetti It is really hard to simply say that something is wrong with the engine because you would expect that more airframes should be available. Not saying that is not the case here. It is strange that you said that an A-50 was shot down, a pilot was lost, but the UI does not show that or replacements. Maybe is something not being updated correctly there. I will take a look on that.
-> The only way to monitor the campaign is to do in real time with internal tools. Here is a snapshot of how it is done for example with ground units orders, but the idea is the same for RRR and all other parameters.
-
@tiag Thanks, that makes sense. Leaving aside the speculation about replacements, which kind of derrailed the initial post intention, the shot down A-50 not being removed from the squadron is the issue here.
-
@tiag Just tried a similar mission with a similar campaign (stock Rolling Fire), and just to let you know that the same thing happened again.
- Tasked a 4 ship Sweep around the area I know the AWACS is.
- Element 4# destroyed it (I even requested them to attack it, and they responded as "Attacking single A-50).
- As soon as I was certain that it was destroyed, I ended the mission.
- The debriefing showed that indeed element 4 had shot it down (unfortunately I didn’t screenshot it, so you’ll have to trust me on this).
- However, there are still 2 A-50 in PRC squadron.
This is the sweep area, circled black is the A-50:
Again from MC, it shows one pilot as KIA, but no plane or pilot losses:
I’m wondering if the fact that I’m not the one shooting it down is what’s causing the issue?
Anyway, thanks and happy new year!

@Rasetti @tiag
Hi, i got same case in rolling thunder campaing. In this campaing i have 3 confirmed a-50 kills, 2 as myself (i see a-50 crash and i have confirmation in debriefing), 1 AI in another package (i was see this from campaing map). But game was count only ai kill.
Now i opened squadron info and see first 3 pilots was get a trouble, i think pilot #2 maybe sit in a-50 in my last flight. But game did not removed this plane from squadron storages.
