@terminus Don’t be sorry. This is a nice app to have. The physical ICP is much more nice to use in flight. I comes with a “Base”. It sits at around a 45. I’ll eventually construct something to mount it and the Cougar MFD panels to. It’s pretty much plug and play with the Launcher. So easy breezy. But back to the app, I’m completely satisfied at this point in the game. Thanks
You’re very welcome. I hope it helps!

I’ve reinstalled your new version, demo mode appears, no problem but the “server host” line is in red and I can’t enter my IP…
-
I’ve just retested and found that to be able to enter my IP I had to check DEMO mode (it turns green)…
the system still doesn’t work the briefing and the 2 kneeboards don’t update… …
-
@Proctor On my tablet, I had to tap the empty space below the red text to get the cursor

Keep in mind, you want the Demo Mode option to be disabled. It’s only there for app store reviewers who need to “demo” the functionality of the app for approval. Weirdly, they don’t all fly BMS and won’t have access to the game.
But yeah, if enabled, you’ll see static kneeboards and briefings that don’t change, as you’ve described.
You also shouldn’t need to enable demo mode to enter an IP address in the server host field. As @Quasi_Stellar said, click on the area just under the label and helper text to enter an IP.
Lemme know if it works?

@terminus
Hi, I tested it yesterday on my android tablet and the first approach is promising. Thanks for that.
What I think could be improved is the presentation of the briefing. What BMS “spits out” is not really helpful during the flight. I would like to see a representation like the one used in Falcas’ WDP. Properly structured and modelled on the real “lineup and coordination cards”.
Thanks in advance, Prot -

Thanks in advance, ProtYeah, agreed – WDP briefings are more helpful. I’ll take a look this afternoon and see what I can do. Thanks!

I am not sure why it is not working for me. I am using android. My first run was fine in that I am able to get the data from wdp to my android tablet. It was a training mission in korea. After that I tried a korea campaign mission using the same process, start the wdp, go to the mission, have the mission data on the wdp, update kneeboard in wdp, then go to the BMSNav app. However, the data is still the training mission. The BMSNav app seems to be stuck at the training mission rather than giving me the new mission data. Tried a few times and it is still stuck at the first training mission. Anything that I missed?

Hi, Igorry!
Have you tried the updated 1.0.1 APK for Android, or the latest version from the Amazon Appstore? I did fix a bug related to this sort of behavior (see discussion above). And I can tell you that it’s now working properly on my own Android device.
Still, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lingering bug affecting certain Android devices/versions.
Lemme know?

I think it is solved. I changed the config file in BMS to output the brief to html. Now in BMSnav app, I can see the new briefing data.

Update: I’ve added a new checklists feature. Should hit the Amazon and Apple app stores in the coming days. In the meantime, if you’re an Android user, you can download the latest 1.0.3 APK here…

For me, it now works perfectly…

Hi,
I’m still having issues trying to connect, sys “NOT TIMED OUT”.
I’ve input the correct internal IP of the BMS running desktop, and the 2676 port is forwarded.
Still doesn’t connect to the server. Any ideas?
Thx! -
Hi terminus, thanks for BMSNav. My squad finds it very useful. Is it possible to add Georgia theatre to BMSNav and eventually other theatres too?
