MFD Extractor issue
-
@windnc60 - going to revert to 4.36 to see if the new main menu GUI makes a difference
-
@windnc60 If it doesn’t open in taskbar its nothing to do with BMS version.
-
@Icarus awesome… cant say thats good news. maybe back to the direct x issue
-
@windnc60 also finding my TM equipment is not quite key mapping properly. TM Warthog throttle and stick and TM pedals. certain switches are simply not mapping. ugh.
-
@windnc60 what version mfde are you using?
-
@Icarus v0.6.3.0
-
@windnc60 Try the modded standalone one.
-
@windnc60 sorry… where is that?
-
-
@Icarus grabbed them unpacked and ran - no joy, rebooting to attempt. just cannot seem to get it to start or use options from rt side systray.
-
@windnc60 Something is wrong in your Windows. They both work on my two computers with BMS 4.37.3. Windows 11 and 10. Not sure but MFDE requires an older Net framework version I think.
-
-
@Icarus bumped up the version, still wont start. no joy
-
@windnc60 Well if no versions work it must be a Windows thing not right. Its not BMS because it works for me on both my computers.
-
@Icarus agreed …4.36 no different
-
Have your try setting in the config file this: g_bExportRTTTextures to 1? Every time you have a new install/update your config file may change.
-
@igorry yes that is the setting, here a pic i finally got of what is not working, MFDE v0.6.4.0
thats as far as it goes, click on start - doesn’t start
click on options nothing.Trying to extract the gauges. the software does not seem to open, i looked around in case the resolution was affecting it - still no joy!
-
I have seen this before a long time ago, I just cant remember what caused it. It is not a BMS thing. I think it is a Windows thing. I know it needs a certain .NET Framework. Try installing .NET Framework 4.8 which is a requirement for MFDE. Or updating .NET Framework .

It also needs Visual Studio 2022 Community Edition. Also try updating video drivers. also try reinstalling DX 9c.
-
.net and visual studio loaded as suggested. Bingo ! Great call. Gauges extracted as they should.
Resolved.
