Korea '80s Theater

I havent seen this behavior in the stock campaigns, which lends itself to two theories - either the stock campaigns create an autosave as you enter them, and this allows you to create weather immediately on entering - or molni’s cam files have a setting or flag changed somewhere which prevents the weather from working, presumably a “this is TE” type flag or switch. No clue how accurate any of that is, but its good to know we can still mess with weather if we save first.
It has happened to me in the default KTO. Try it, I bet it will happen to you right now. Start a new campaign without saving it and try to change the weather setting. And AFAIK the campaign only creates an autosave upon exiting the campaign or a ending a mission but not when starting a new campaign. Otherwise, I would not get that message to save before changing the weather.
-
Honestly I have no clue about how the campaign really works, witchcraft perhaps? I just go with the flow.8-)

I even do not know where you can set the weather in campaign. If something was set in cam files regarding to weather it was done by cretor of very old cam files because I did not touch this part.

Its the little yellow sun on the right side where the buttons are molni.
-
I guess its just old behavior and Ive not noticed it before then XD

I am installing this now, I will report any problems here right?

such would seem to be the going rate, yes.
-
I think the pilot model should be optional, some people do not have trackir and it can get in the way.

Okay, FTP link to the file is being set up. Should take about a couple of hours (estimated 2:15), but Im not going to be awake to see if it works or not.
If anyone does feel like giving it a shot around then, it can be accessed in your browser by clicking the link below:
You will need to type in as username [email protected] and you can leave the password blank.
Once again, the file is not up there, so not much point looking yet. Should be up within a few hours. Ill check it myself when I wake up.
Sorry for the hassles Molnibalage, this is the first time Ive had such an issue noted on downloading from the site like this. On the other hand, there was about 90 gigs downloaded from the site yesterday after you put the link up, which is about the same as for the whole month normally.
-
Good work, the more mirrors the better.

@ Blu3wolf…
If it’s being hosted on the same domain using FTP or password protected directories will not change the throttling.
If it’s a shared hosting solution, the provider will definitely throttle all clients once your BW footprint goes up from the casual mb every now and then.

Cheers for the advice Khronik. I have been advised otherwise by my provider however, so I intend to at least give it a try first.
As the sites traffic is measured in gigabytes daily and terabytes annually, I would hope that it exceeds a casual mb every now and then.
EDIT: seems to work without interruption using the ftp, although with the rather irksome caveat that you need supply a username to get the file (again, [email protected] suffices). Apologies again for the confusion.

I’ve made a vanilla U7 install and applied the '80’s mod. For some reason there was no config directory, so I copied the config directory of another BMS install into the '80’s one (which I always do when making a new install) but for some strange reason in setup the game doesn’t see the content of the config folder (callsign files, keystroke file), so I get stuck with Viper as pilot and standard keystroke settings which don’t apply to my setup. Is there any way to correct this?
-
Have you looked in the logbook drop down to see if your pilot is available??

-
Yep, only ‘Viper’ is present.
I uninstalled the lot and made a fresh install: again no config directory. Copying it from another install makes no difference.
-
at least you can get it onto your system……mine wont let it

Hmm, strange. But then again, these things happen when mods are released that screw with the core files!!! Really don’t understand why ppl wish to do this. Just makes more things complicated!!

Not really: I have also no config directory on a vanilla install (without the '80’s mod). And an added config directory makes no difference ingame (setup).
-
I applied this to a non vanilla BMS and it worked fine, no clue why it would not be the same on a vanilla BMS.
