Connection problem with specific server
-
I know exactly what is happening to you… because it has happened to me. I had a very slow internet @ my work like really slow. I’d connect to the server just fine but when i tried to join the campaign map my TS goes so does my BMS. Now i found very slow upload speed was the only cause of that. I upgraded my connection and the next day the issue was gone. Please post your speed result so i can tell you if it is not enough. BTW my internet speed at the time this issue was happening was Down .75Mb/s and upload was .25MB/s
The connection remain on the same levels.Sometimes the download speed riches the limit of the 6.5 Mbs but the upload stays between 0.70 to 0.75

Yeah strange your connection speed looks good enough. Maybe there is routing issue from your ISP to the server. Do a tracert to the server from your connection and see if the packets get though, some hopes my be closed because of closed ICMP sockets.

I’m going to check this in a few hours and bring the results to the forum.

That Speed test was only 50miles
Get him to do a speed test to some where close to the server he is trying to connect too.

To help all find a solution for samurai,
strange things happen to him.
First of all he is able to connect and go in flight to any server we tried except the specific server who is the only one he can’t go through map recaiving stage. In all other servers no metter who is making the server he don’t have any problems and he connects and play normally. We checked that with Falcon Online server, with me and other guys making a server and he was ok.
Next step is to check the specific server he had the problem. That server didn’t run any antivirus, firewall, windows defender etc. and have a vanilla installation of FalconBMS 4.32. No IVC was running in tests.
The specific momment he disconect from falcon I check him in Teamspeak and I saw (client info) he had package loss from 25% up to 33% total and the most times the moment he was “kicked” out from BMS he was also “kicked” out from Teamspeak. We tried without TS runing in his side but no luck. Same result.
We tried in any theater of BMS (Korea and Aegean) but same result, kicked out in map recaive.
Checked samurai’s router and everything looks normal. Doors open one by one (not in range), firewall was closed, antivirus close etc. With same router and router setup he was able to connect a year before in the specific server.
His Internet line and connection looks ok.
We tried to figure out what chenges inside the year was made in server and cliend sides. But no changes found. Hardware same as it was, no antivirus, no firewalls and no Falcon BMS changes (mods etc.) in both sides.
If server have problem then there was going to be and an other client that can’t go through 2D, but no one have such a problem. If samurai have the problem, what is the problem that choose to connect with all other servers except the specific one?! -
You should also check th driver version of your Nvidia cause the CTD is happening on the 2D
-
I’m using the latest, not beta drivers from nvidia website. The version is 344.75 - WHQL
I’ll try to use an older version
-
I have less good GPU than samurai with the latest drivers and runs with out problems. Any way drivers will be in the check list also.
-
@samurai in map recaive you have a disconnect, CDT or what? Because if you have a BMS crash maybe you have a crash log with the problem cause this issue and who can read it (I can’t) maybe come with a solution for you.
Please check if you have yeasterdays crash logs .txt from our tests and provide them to the community.
Maybe and I hope will come something from that. -
There is no crash log file.

I believe that for some stupid reason the 373 server has kept some kind of blocking log to your pc/mac/face/name/family/nickname/whatever What’s happening is VERY odd!!! Please try a cheap PCI-e LAN card (like this one http://www.plaisio.gr/periferiaka-othones/diktya/asirmates-kartes/TP-LINK-Pci-Adapter-10-100-1000-TG-3269.htm) instead of a wifi or the onboard one (do not change mac…sometimes mac is not enough). if it’s convenient for you try with another pc ON THE SAME ROUTER/CONNECTION or take your pc to a friend and try it there to try to pinpoint the problem… All this is VERY strange!!

The connection through wifi went from a neighbor nearby, so I’ve tried different isp.
-
Nothing so far, so I have to communicate with my ISP in order to stabilize the upstream and downstream even if that mean to throw my downstream about 2Μbit. But my isp doesn’t appear to care about and after 5 days my connection is in the same place as it was from the beginning . So today I apply to a new ISP and properly after Wednesday I’m going to test again in order to see if it’s older ISP blame for all that.

The problem continues. Tried yesterday a couple of routers and all had the same effect. Entering lobby fine and upon connecting to the map samurai gets disconnected from bms and ts. He can connect to other people if they are hosting. the problem is with one ip, our servers ip. Can anyone tell me what is the network load when someone is connecting to the map? cloud map, game map, packages or tac info in general? we are trying to find the cause of this for quite some time now. Samurai tried to connect from his office with the specific pc and connected fine so it’s the home connection that has the problem even with a new isp. Any ideas?

Is his connection ADSL on old phone lines, is it an old or new area.
Sounds like or could be “noise” on the line. Have you asked your ISP to test for “noise”. Problems in infrastructure do develop that won’t show on a speed test.
Is the server close? Your last speed test was less then 50 miles with a hi ping of 44ms. Were is the game server.
You have not given a description of your ISP connection. You have mentioned wireless and nics. Is your connection Cable, ADSL over copper, wireless ???
How do you connect to your router if you have one? Ethernet on twisted pair, USB, WiFi ? What is the extent of your LAN in you house are you sharing the connection?
You say you even lose the TS connection ?? Is the Server set to “host all” (set g_bServerHostAll 1)
Get you line checked for noise by whoever owns then (telco)
