Norway Theater - Lets do it!
-
Tom,
In the file at location …/Falcon BMS 4.32/Data/Add-On [theater_name]/Terrdata/weather/weather.ini you will find:
TimeZone 3 Latitude 29 Longitude 45
Tweak to suit you own. IIRC, they are “centred-on” co-ordinates, but don’t take my word for it.

Hey thank you! That would help a lot- Great Malc!
Okay- Think I pointed the Problem out but with no solution:
I changed the airbases new_te.tac - no Changes in Programm
I changed the mainmap in art Folder - no changes in ProgrammI think that BMS not work with the “Nordic AddOn”. What could be the reason? BMS wont use the maps and Screens, wont except the tac-files … Any Ideas? I Need help - really.
Cheers

Nice initiative Tom! you’ve got some nice looking terrain there.

Have you noticed that the file name is really te_new.tac and no new_tc.tac as you quoting? Is this misquote or the file is wrongly named? And make sure that this file is really loaded when testing the changes (as per earlier C9 suggestion). Changes have to be made in all cam and that tac file to be present in all of the campaigns, instant and tc. -
I believe u delete the known 5 files before jumping back to falcon.
in Data\Terrdata\terrain
the five TERRAIN.XXX files. In the last Terrain editor there is an option to auto do this.

Wondering If will be possible tos ee some kind of trees on the Norwegian terrain, maybe 2d trees or something that adds to the theatre without stealing too much FPS.

In the future BMS4 will have shader generated trees.

Could the nordic.tdf in theaterdefinition the problem?
Or another file in the campaign folder which ordner to ignorate the te_new.tac ?
Cheers
Tom -
In your post #43, you have changed ANDOYA AB, I see no ANDOYA in the te_new.tac or any of the 3 campaign files. And it’s CampID# is 406, which doesn’t exit. The last CampID# is 405.
So did you add a new airbase??
I think the .tdf is okay, and no there’s nothing in the campaign folder that would cause this issue. Although I made some changes, to many repetitive folders for the art folder.
You need to explain exactly what you did.

Okay, so
I opened Monster terrain tool, loaded Nordic 2011. After that, I loaded the te_new.tac with the objective lab.
Then I went to the Andoya airbase, did a rightclick for Edit and switched the airbase 01/19 to Wonsan airbase. Then I saved it all. Finally I started BMS but Andoya still had the runway 01/19 and not Wonsan runways…
If I reload the files in Monsters tool, all my changes are still in there. Funny : when I make entrys in ILS datas with Monsters tool, the entrys work well in BMS. Tile settings allthough. I cant understand why my the airbases are not editable…
Hope, that could explain something. What I did wrong?
Cheers

In the te_new.tac that is in your campaign folder of the download you put a link for, there is NO ANDOYA AB!!
And it is also not in any of the campaign files, Save0/Save1/Save2.

Can you make any changes? I just need to know how

With TerrainEditor I had problems with objectives. They where not showing up if u edit them.
If u just declare heading in Terraineditor u don’t do all the work. U edit the airbase objective via falcon editor and select all features then turn it to the correct heading. Do the same for the pd’s parking points etc.
