CH 598 combatstick not recognized Windows 10
-
I have a CH combatstick, pro throttle, & Pro pedals…Have them running with control manager in mapped mode…have BMS 4.33 U3 on Windows 10…I also have got Control Manager Control Center running in Windows Start-Up…
The problem I’m having is when I boot my computer,Pro Throttle & Pro Pedals come on line, but Combatstick does not UNTIL I unplug and plug USB for Combatstick, then it works normally…It’s not recognized at start-up.
Any idea what could be the problem ?dfang

Did you tried with different usb ports?

Thanks for the reply ce_zeta,and yes I have changed multiple usb’s ,same result…
Maybe a problem with old Combat stick? Stick works fine when it is recognized…I’m going to try and disable Control Mgr at start up and see if stick works…dfang

yeap, looks like its the Combatstick. In order to be 100% sure, plug the combatstick in another PC.

Well, looks like old combat stick is still alive…I uninstalled/reinstalled Control Mgr,have it coming on at startup. The problem as far as I can tell was the map file…Made a new map file from scratch and so far back to normal… There is one thing I’m puzzled by and that is in game Setup screen, controllers, current keyfile BMS-Full,INPUT, POV 1:up says “wing fold-up” when pressing POV up and POV 1:down says “wing fold-down” when pressing POV down…Rt & left POV says No Function Assigned…How do I change “wing fold-up” , “wing fold-down” to No Function Assigned in BMS-Full key mapping ? I do have TIR 5,but some times I use Combat stick POV outside view…BMS-Basic works fine…

Well! looks like now the old CH Combat stick has died a slow death…My pro throttle and pro pedals are good, but the Combat stick has a problem in not being recognized in Control Manager after a shut down of windows 10 and reboot…I’ve tried a lot to diagnose the problem to no avail…It must have a faulty circuit board…I called CH Products and no board is available for sale from them…Before I buy another stick I would like to try and repair this one if possible…Does anyone know of a used one from someone in the community that they would part with ?
Thanks,

The problem is resolved…
I bought another combat stick and created a new map…also put CMStart.exe in shell startup…
Combat stick circuit board is the suspect…
Life is good…:Ddfang
