Warthog problem
-
I have a Thrustmaster Warthog and I love it. Only one problem I can’t get both the joys and throttle to work at the same time. Either I have joystick control to steer. Or I have throttle control. Never both. I just installed Edtracker for view control and sometimes in the setup it will have an option of Edtracker combined. This obviously can’t work. Or I try to utilize Mud’s Warthog profile and nothing works. Is there anyone out there who can help me with this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I assume both work in windows gaming devices. Sounds like you are changing your main controller in de BMS setup/controller page, you should select your Warthog stick here and not change it ever, if you select the throttle here you won’t be able to steer with the stick. So select the stick as main controller and the throttle will work also. See page 4.3.6. In the BMS manual in the docs folder.

So you dont use “Target” ?
If not. allways select the Stick as primary and program from there.
But if you want to use someone elese profile then you need to know how their intial set is configured.

I’m using my warthog in DX mode as two separate devices (downside: one coolie hat not working on the throttle, major upside: no need to ever mess with TARGET). As has been pointed out make sure to assign your joystick as the main controller and then take it from there.
Also take a look at Kolbe’s excellent keyfile generator (can be used both in libreoffice or in excel) which will allow you to add other DX devices to your setup. It comes with a very good default setup for the warthog.
All the best, Uwe

I’ve tried that. Just selecting the stick and not the throttle. The only thing that happens then is I can steer but I have no throttle control. It’s either one or the other. It’s frustrating.

So, after setting up the stick, did you go to the controller advanced/flightcontrol tab and did you set the correct throttle axis? (assuming you don’t use Target) , what’s listed in the pull-down selection list?
